We cant take all of newcastle united!

Easy enough, but not worth it.

Lets get a good striker instead.

You can just tell by the wording that he means it as well.

At least now Bruce has clear indication that Welbeck (who i assumed we'd get) ain't coming, and can move to plan b.

Stand by for 2.3million Sturridge articles...

Was thinking the same thing. Sturridge will be the new N'Zog on the board.

And yes, surely Fergie meant what he said.

Sturridge would be nice mind, left footed, pacey, strong.

I don't buy that he's proven by a few goals against teams that were playing out the season though.

Never been interested in any loan deal for wellbeck but i would have liked a permanant deal, i have also said in the past i would prefer Sturridge but again only on a permanant deal.
This is Bruces last season if he falls on his face with not enough experience up front.
I am a Bruce fan but he will not be forgiven again.

As for MikeAshleys comments the only players to get in our squad are Enrique the rest have left lol

Whickham at £8m aint at our place to cosily slot in after 20, 30 games. You spend that money on a contender.

So. The lad will be playing, I reckon, along with Gyan, Sess just behind.

    Don Jong the 4th striker.

For all his promise, Welbeck is not ready to be the "main man" in an attack, or even the second striker in a team like ours. He was effective as part of the trimverate of Bent, Gyan and Welbeck when defenders were looking at him as the lesser threat. We need an established goalscorer who can deliver 15-20 league goals a season.
I do believe we would have liked to take him on loan again, or indeed sign him permanently, but surely we are still targetting a "main man".

Aye but £5m pa in cocaine. Lol

Joking apart BB, he's not one that I would have been happy signing. I mean, how could we ever tour the US?

Well this is true Cest, but 650k is insanity, despite the baggage.

Whenever available for Fiorentina, he made an impact, a really superb footballer, and the exact kind we'd want to bring on the new lads.

His character was a wee bit 'wayward' like... hence a club like Cesena being able to get him.
