He should have been fired just for his comments on Ronaldo, as he clearly has no idea if he can say that about a player who has gone on to be one of the greatest ever. It's laughable how someone who is paid to give their 'expert' opinion on something could get it so wrong
I don't know what went on between him and Fergie and haven't read back on the thread (but I will). I just saw the name Alan Green and commented that he is a tool! I did actually stop listening to Green as his bellendness became too much! A shame as other than him it was a good station to listen to, far better than talkSHITE.
That he wouldn't make it as a top level footballer. 500+ goals, 3 Ballon Do'rs and 4 European Golden boots later
But, isn't he employed by them to not only commentate but to give his opinion and fuel debate? He is a big mouth and controversial but he's only playing devil's advocate.
Adrian Durham deliberately fuels debate by saying daft stuff. Green is just a bitter, vindictive tool. He rarely, if ever, says anything positive. He seems to take pleasure from his regular character assassinations. He's just not a nice bloke!
He hated the stepovers and other tricks. He doesn't think players should be entertaining! That's why he considered him a circus act. Clueless ****.
At the end of the day the song belongs to Carousel LFC and Celtic are the two clubs which are associated with singing it and have taken it to anthem status. What DJ Spoony did was piss funny, if you are an LFC fan just as it would have been (to Utd fans) if someone had got in to Anfield and got Glory Glory over our system. To claim more offence would have been caused if blue moon had been played is just ridculous but Spoony if you are reading......
The old pier nightclub was full of scousers. Huge following in Liverpool for that place. I was referring to the older clubs, casino etc.. 70s, 80s.
Fired for having an opinion that at the time he said it [if he ever actually did] nobody could possibly know how Ronaldo would turn out Green: I don't think Ronaldo will be a top player His boss: you're fired Yes that makes sense. Ronaldo has said that he, himself didn't ever think he had the talent to be a professional footballer. So Green was in good company
#bitter When Sly Stallone was at an Everton game at Goodison a couple of seasons back and left the game well before the end Green said in commentary that it was because he didn't want his Limo to be left tyreless and on bricks. Think he had to make a formal apology to EFC for that.
He had to apologise to the City, as it was the council took who issue with it as I remember, due to the lazy stereotyping of Liverpool. The man's a ****
It was quite obvious to anyone with even half a brain that Ronaldo was at the very least destined to be a top player. The guys talent at 17-18 was there for all to see. He lost all credibility as a pundit when he came out and said he wouldn't make it, so should have been fired
