Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial Tottenham Hotspur Here's our line-up - Friedel; Naughton, Kaboul, Khumalo, Rose; Bentley, Modric, Palacios, Bale; Van der Vaart, Defoe. Is Walker injured? Thought he would get more game time.
Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial Tottenham Hotspur And here are the subs - Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, Walker, Jenas, Kranjcar, Lennon, Keane, Pavlyuchenko. Clearly not
Modric? Has anyone told him, yet? You're right about Walker. He's on the bench, so maybe each right-back is going to get a half each in the first two games? Nice to see whether the van der Vaart/Defoe partnership can show any promise, now that they've both had a bit of a rest. I hope that Bentley can show a bit of form too, as he did seem to try in the last game, despite not having any success at all.
Bentley would be a useful player in some games if Harry was a tactical kind of manager, which he is clearly not. The only tactical change he makes on a regular basis is to bring on Crouch. What will he do if Crouch goes? Perhaps he will rediscover the change that Kranjcar can bring to a game!
Not seen Khumalo at all, so we'll see how he is, no sign of Pienaar...is he injured? I don't think Bentley will ever be the player he was hoped to be. Imo he's one who's quite happy as long as theres wages at the end of the week, never enough desire, and too much messing about. His moments of brilliance are just too few and far between. I hope he has a good game, in that it might attract a bid!
Think that was just on a link from ESPN. The official FB page of Spurs is about as reliable as the 'Spurs in the News' page on the official site...
Nice goal VDV. Doesn't hide the fact that we're still not looking like a team. And Defoe's been abysmal.
It's not really a team though, OODB. The keeper and 3 out of the 5 midfielders, but none of the first choice defence and probably not the striker. It's a mish-mash.
True, I suppose. Friedel just doesn't inspire confidence in me, so I guess 3 out of the 11 would be first choice, but none of the rest are playing themselves into the reckoning. And Defoe is poor, looks like he's lost all confidence.
Same old story. Lots of passing it about in the midfield and at the back, with little penetration and an open goal miss. Van der Vaart's too deep when we're in possession, too.
Amusingly, it appears that PSG are willing to pay almost twice as much for Taarabt as we paid for van der Vaart! Even more amusingly, our sell-on clause (40%) will nearly pay the van der Vaart fee on it's own!
To be honest, considering our lack of activity, I'd rather have Taarabt back than the 40%... and thats saying something
Post all the links to the game you want, as long as it isn't to rival site I don't see anyone having any problem with it.
