OK I'll knock something up. I will need to use the Decimal Industry Starting Price (ISP) as shown on the extract above. I assume it's a 1 point win stake every time the horse runs? So, using Squire as an example (see below), since 13th April 2015 Staked to win. 8 points Return. 11 points Bonus Points. 0 Total points. 11 Is that OK?
For anyone who is interested, to add a horse to your My Timeform: 1. Use the Search and enter options for alerts/results as required or 2. While looking at results for any meeting/date select a horse from the race result and then enter options for alerts/results as required or 3. From Timeform's own Horses to Note Features just click on the horse name link and enter options for alerts/results as required
Oddy, can you confirm there will definitely be no substitutes as it affects the design if you want them.
I thought it would be easier to keep track Ron, and reflects real life - if you own a horse and it gets injured then no winnings. Happy to throw it open to debate though.
I don't know of any other "10 to Follows" (ie outside this forum) that substitute. It also seems a bit odd picking a horse to follow if it has run several times already in the current season. I only asked because the last time a 10 to Follow was run on here substitutes were allowed in the case of injuries. But I agree it isn't realistic so will omit the option unless you find it necessary based on comments
May I suggest that if substitutes are to be allowed then up to 3 substitutes could be named in advance (ie at the same time as the 10 first choice selections) and these could be substituted in the event of an injury and must be notified in the appropriate thread before it can be substituted. Only substitutes nominated at outset can be used (ie as in football).
I think I'll be bossy and stick to the original premise of no substitutes. No one has complained about it
