That's how it panned out, the point was that you weren't having him from the minute he walked in! They were singing for Dalglish within weeks ffs.
Because he had done nothing to warrant the job, his football was dull in old teams and had never managed a big club before (bar inter about 30 years before).
Try 11 He didn't deserve the stick he got for merely being appointed. You lost were still weeping for St Rafa and wanted Dalglish as a short term fix, it made his position untenable from day 1.
Well if it was so obvious(which it was)that he wasn't wanted by the vast majority of supporters he obviously himself knew, he had a choice to stay in an environment where he could handle what was expected of him or make a conscious effort to show respect to the club and its relationship with rivals from over the park and up the east lancs etc, he also should have looked what the club wanted from players rather than his mediocre standards. You're correct Tobes but most people in his position with a choice would have chose not to accept a job he wasn't up to, so what were his motives? Money?, fame?, using use us a stepping stone in his career? If he would have been doing an excellent job when he got the boot we(the support)would be deserving of your criticism but we were proved right, he was absolute crap as our manager and should never have been given the job.
It was the sheer arrogance of kopites to dismiss his credentials as not being worthy, when he'd managed international sides and Inter, that makes me smile. It wasn't a brilliant prediction either it was merely a self fulfilling prophecy as the atmosphere at that time was poisonous, he was ****ed before a ball was kicked. If Klopp ends up in 12th place in the league at Christmas you won't be calling for his head on a platter irrespective of how you're playing, will you?
He's ****ing ****e. You know it and we ****ing know it. Int sides lol. Be happy if he was your next manager? He is an expert on keeping teams up so should be lol
I gave Roy a #legit chance but his football was pretty much as bad as LVG's I won't be calling for Klopp's head
If he'd have had a dossier and spoke more about wuuuuurrrkiiing and character, you'd have given the **** 3 years
Roy deserves credit, ten out of ten is great effort despite it being against the equivalent of the reserve Dog & Dock u13 B teams. You can only beat what's in front of you and both Sven and Capello failed to win all the games so fair play to him. He'll get raped next summer though.
Roy did well this time. He's still a ****wit of a manager and I'd still like to pop his head open by squashing it slowly against a concrete wall using a steam roller. But he's done well to get 10/10. He'll never do that again though. Lose all the games in the euro's no doubt.
You say that but there was only 1 game that would have been iffy, the other 9 England should be winning every time. Essentially Woy has managed to get England to a acceptable level.
England got 30/30 points and topped their group Wales got 18/30 points and came second We both qualified but now Wales are 2 places above us in the rankings That tells you what level of opposition we were against
He managed Swiss national team, not like he was managing Spain Germany or Brazil is it. Mcclaren has managed a national team doesn't make him any better. his credentials were **** he'd won bigger all and his biggest success was just keeping a team in lower mid table in the prem. reason he got it was he was a cheap option for the **** owners to hire
What credentials? You're making out Roy is the British Ancelotti. he has achieved very little over a long career. For a supposedly good manager, hes managed a big club for such a small portion. He should never have been appointed in the first place, and his outdated thoughts and tactics have no place in the modern game. Congrats on winning 10/10, regardless of opposition. Let's see how well he does in the actual tourno before lavishing praise.
He'll ultimately be judged on what he delivers at next years finals, you're intimating that'll end in failure, I hope he rams that up your arse tbh. As my view is that he's grown into the England job and has now developed a squad and style of play that gives us a chance of achieving something next year. We've got a great nucleus of young exciting players and I hope they get given their heads next summer.
