On another note does anyone know when Kenya/Senegal fixtures are? Will Vic & Sadio be back early enough for Saturday?
Find it silly that Dele Alli, at 19, has been given an england cap after a month or so in the PL. Ridiculous.
Have you watched him at all this season? He has been brilliant, and a big part of Spurs season. I think it's a good decision to call him up early and give him experience
Should be with u21s. This would bring players through the system (similar to Germany) and give the opportunity to develop at an appropriate pace alongside players they will be with in future. We are too knee jerk in this country both when calling players up and subsequently damning them for a few poor performances. England will never get anywhere until we start playing the long game .(not referring to long ball game for those who may misinterpret this).
Shane Long's injury is being assessed today by the FIA....hope they let us know, because Saints are usually a bit slow to tell us.
In all fairness, Germany have a good first team. We are currently short of central midfielders, with injuries to Delph, Henderson and Shelvey. I disagree with Hodgson in a lot of things, but calling up Deli Ali in this form is not one of them.
Germany were in a similar position to England before current squad, but kept their youngsters together and they developed as a squad rather than rushing them. It paid dividends.
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...Koeman-Holland-Approach-Liverpool-benefactors Southampton apparently quaking in their boots about Holland coming in for Ronald. #Yawn. Ignore it being RK, why does everyone think that all managers are desperate to manage their country. I'm sure many do, but it is an entirely different job from managing your own team. If you enjoy putting a team together and spending a lot of time on the training ground, it isn't for you. You can't even be sure that the player you pick will be made available to you. Frustration and politics that is what being an international manager is about.
Looking at Englands "attack" tonight it seems that the sooner JRod get's into full working order the better.
As much as I have faith in Koeman as a man of his word when it comes to his contract. He has stated that managing The Netherlands is an aim of his. The Dutch seem to be going through a transitional phase with the careers of Van Perise, Sneijder & Robben over or coming to an end. So it's probably not the best time to take the job
Such a relief to see it had come back off the post. Can't stand that giant Neanderthal. With him and Twatcheeks on the pitch, I am desperate for some injuries.
I just want Jones to get a red card which would mean he shouldn't get anywhere near squad for the finals.
