Looks like it will be Fab-Reuben in the pivot v Villa

"Ruben, (Nemanja) Matic, Ramires, (Cesc) Fabregas - who can cope better with the pressure? I know Fabregas for sure but maybe the situation is so negative for us that maybe now a young player feels less pressure than when the team is top of the league fighting for a victory to be champions," Mourinho said.

"Clearly it is time not to play four, five or six kids because also some of them are not ready. But I think Ruben is a case where he is one who is more ready so if everything goes normal during these two weeks, yes, he is a player to start the next game.

"I am not saying it is a young player to save the season. I think it is a good moment to do it. My senior players won the title for me also last season but it is easy to see some are in difficulties. I was never afraid of responsibilities and I have to persuade Ruben not to feel the pressure because if somebody should feel pressure he is the last."

Times reported same words"he is a player to start the next game" adding "and have a run of matches".

Ruben should be given a chance, ivan and fab are the two worst performers and should be dropped

Ivanovic has been a good performer but it was a matter of time for him to get found out at RB, he's a big unit and with age he's not sharp enough in that position anymore.

I would move him into the centre back position and put someone who can run in at full back.

Agree , most of the goals we have shipped have come down the right side. Basically couple of weeks off, and a small regig of the back line, and two defensive midfielder's to get some clean sheets once again, and we will get our confidence back

You have no attacking threat on that side meaning that wingers can get at your right back, normally he's very good at dealing with them but as of late he just isn't that sharp.

We are still scoring, but if we know at the moment that we will ship goals, then its makes it harder to attack. Yes the attack is not going well, but its night and day better than the defence. Plus Ivan is getting crosses in and they are off target, he's not even got a cutting attack edge anymore.

Agree suggested this ages ago. Also better to have a captain at CB if Terry is dropped.

Too late to move him to CB now as confidence has gone?

I was thinking last season one CB pairing could be Iva and Zouma once JT had gone.

On the basis that divided we fall, I am in agreement with Luvgonzo and Fevruil on Ivan. Just that half a yard of lost pace, especially off the mark, means the quick wingers are getting round him now. Once moving he's still pretty quick, so CD would be a better place for him now. With JT, Cahill, Zouma and Ivan, we'd have some variety in the CD positions. We would also have Dave at right back and the new boy playing what he was bought to do. Makes sense to me.

Jose's excuse is Baba is not ready because he did not have pre season with us. Bad planning: we should have bought and sold earlier

We made about 100 million on them deals so may not have bought other players in had we not sold them. Seemed to work out ok last season.

f*ck sake get a grip. Usually I try and refrain from giving you stick as you're prone to a lot with daft comments like this, wishing injury on your own players? Moron

I don't wish even the worst rivals injury!!
You know what I mean. Only way for Jose to drop them is if they were injured.
I mean the common good for the team. 'Taking one for the team' etc!!

    Nothing daft to my comments.
I just foresee things which most of you are not ready to accept - Simples.

Only grip I need to get is for my tennis racket!! <doh>

Fabregas has just missed a penalty for Spain, he is really off at the moment.
