They've got the Martinez who is so wonderful so we keep being told... Apart from last year when he was **** and should have been sacked.. But other than that all wonderful

He'll be **** again if Man Utd and Liverpool win this weekend [HASHTAG]#standard[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#barsetters[/HASHTAG] <whistle>

Lol...I thought this too..apparently there's a tiny bit of the country on the other side of the Ural river which is how a country in Asia gets to call itself European.

It's the same argument with Russia and Turkey. Both transcontinental. They get to use their history and relations over centuries with European countries to be part of "Europe" when they are largely Asian from a geographic point of view.

So I suppose if you're going to use cultural exchange of history of political and economic interaction as justification for inclusion then a country pretty much created by the British and that has more political and cultural ties with European countries than those around them...
Almost the entire world could play in the Euros then. <laugh>

Although 3/4 of the Russian landmass is in Asia, the bit that is considered European holds most of the population- and, amazingly, comprises almost 40% of the territory of Europe. <yikes>

In the same way as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are, I suppose. Europe does get around, doesn't it?

It does, those are European borderline states bording on European Russia and Turkey.
Israel is well and truly middle east and Asia. You might as well have Brazil in the European cup.

Where the other two were on the border and only later on after independence did they get football associations and international squads, Israel just didn't want to play with its neighbours and wanted to play in the higher profile European game..

Once again England play infinitely better without that fat mess Rooney

Roy the Cowardosaur will refuse to do right right thing though, just like Louis Van Gutless

Yep, get donkeys like Rooney and Sturridge out and the team looks much more balanced and threatening. Get Welbeck in at left forward and we could be quite good.

Welbeck is injured more often than Sturridge though

Always find Rooney an odd one. He quite clearly peaked in his career a good 5/6 years ago and has steadily got worse year by year after.
