    As has been widely reported we have another North South head to head for the apprentices title which culminates on Champions Day on Saturday. There would be worse systems going around this week than back Marquand and Garritty as their respective employers and owners will be looking to offer them every support they can to clinch the title.

    They both head to Windsor tomorrow with Marquand starting the week 2 ahead and their respective rides are as follows, along with my view.

    4.00 Be Bold 14-1 via Hannon - No chance

    Morning, crew. Hope everyone tickety-boo.

    What a fantastic 30 mins of gee-gee action on Saturday, say I. First we had the tremendous success of Mr Henderson’s Cocktails At Dawn at Chepstow. And this was swiftly followed up by the county winning the Cesarewitch, with Grumeti, at 50/1. I’d love to say that I had them both doubled. But I didn’t. In fact I was so surprised when the latter stormed into the lead that my monocle popped out and the smelling salts had to be applied! Great training performances though in both instances.

    Will next Saturday, at Ascot, be as exciting or will it flatter to decieve like it has done a few times in the past?!? Answers on a postcard please to the usual address.

    Great shout stick,form is temporary,class is permanent mlad!Small win bet on Kakashan in 3.30 at Salisbury 9/4.Missed the kick lto but recovered well to suggest he can take a race like this
