I keep a photo of my dad where I can see him (and my mum, but, somehow, that's different.) I speak to him, and my mum, as it takes me and that helps me. Grieving is good, cherishing is also. I cherish my past and Hull was a big influence on that. My Mum and Dad were my influences, my compass, my friends. There is no replacement for a parent we love, but we do have memories. Condolences lads, remember the smiles and cry, it's what we do.
It's the first time I've read this thread for a while, condolences to Ernie, Muffin and Filey. We lost both of my wife's parents in the last year, within six months of each other, so I feel your pain. Good luck to you and your dad Kemps, I hope that you manage to get to see a game together again.
RIP to approximately the 83,333 people that have taken their own lives by the end of this month. I thought it was apt considering it is World Mental Health Day today and one in four people around the world have a mental illness, many of which believe suicide is the only respite for their suffering.
Bone cancer is terrible. She left a terrific legacy by raising over £50k for charity since her diagnosis in 2011. RIP
Condolences pal. Lost my old boy three years ago. Not a day has passed since that I don't have a quiet word with him, usually about nothing in particular.

Kevin Corcoran. Who he? The little lad in Old Yeller http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/oct/12/kevin-corcoran
He looked rather different at the end... please log in to view this image He was in Pollyanna, which my daughter watched almost daily when she was little. RIP
Remember going to see Bonnie and Clyde when it first came out and Old Yeller was the supporting film. I would have laughed at all the tough guys snivelling at the end if I hadn't been preoccupied looking for a hankie myself.
