He's been here a week or two and so far:

    - His first ever match for us resulted in a pitch invasion and fighting

    - Two of his team mates have been denied visas for criminal pasts

    - He himself has been denied a visa and won't get to link up with his new team mates in the US

I hope he isn't sat there wondering what he's let himself in for. It's a lot to happen to a new player who doesn't speak English and has just moved to a completely new country for a new team. Poor fella.

It is, but its his own fault. Had he paid his ****ing dental bill, and not helped scare the Darlo player into losing the ball and presenting Sammy with it, none of this would have happened!

Wont be so bad, he speaks a little bit of English and we've helped him find a house in the area and get language lessons. He also has a number of French speaking friends here and there'll still be a couple like Moyo on the reserve trip. Pitch invasion wont have helped his perception, admittedly, but there's still quite a few senior players going to Holland.

At least he's had an early crash course in the trials and tribulations associated with Newcastle United! Welcome to the rollercoaster Yohan, buckle up and hold on tight!

    Yeah the criminal ones :p
Well hopefully once he experiences his first St James homegame, he will realise what all the fuss is about!

If he's a proper bloke he'll be thinking this is going to be a blast .. better than supping vino in his Lille chateau or popping to Le Patisserie for croissants and pain au chocolates every morning .. more action in a couple of weeks than he's had in 4 years in poncy France .. <ok>

My first post on here, but he's played for the French national team. They aren't exactly known for being the cleanest bunch.

And the ones who want to leave! Aside from the visa denials, Williamson (wife giving birth), Perch, Xisco, Routledge are also going.

Exactly, I would rather have a criminal record than have a frogs leg for tea.

I'm hoping that'll be a memorable night too! ...not in the way Darlington was though

Anyone know if ticket sales have picked up for Leeds yet? I'd love for a big crowd and great atmosphere

Well we got 6000 for Darlo so I'm hoping for a sellout. Also if we do shift them all I'll have a better chance of selling some of my tickets I have to get rid of.

You can also take into account the survey done about 6 years ago that showed France (per head) bought less soap than any other European nation...

Not being funny BUT crowd trouble is worse abroad, he'd have known about Barton's (and possible Ranger's past) before he signed for the club and the his visa problem could happen to anyone.
