I saw some bashing of them under BR's reign but having madethe best possible appointment (on paper) we could how do you sit with them now?

They are obviously having thestadium done, have always reinvested the money from big sales and If rumours are to be believed thiswasalso our 3rd approach for Klopp as well

I think it was harsh bashing them under br anyway.

Invested in the stadium which none of previous owners had done, invested money into the squad. Yes net spend hasn't been huge but they've reinvested player sales into the squad and added extra.

And not forgetting they took us from the brink of admin, ok got us for a good price but even so.

They don't know football inside out and maybe their appointments above manager level haven't been brilliant but they are learning and after going for an up and coming manager, it nearly worked in winning us the title and after a year and bit of poor showing since then have decided to go for the best available in a tried and tested man.

Theyve also increased revenue very well, lots of little sponsorships and link ups etc, made us near enough self sufficient all under the constraints of ffp

Overall got to give them 8/10, don't think they couldn't done an awful lot nore

I rate them as owners, because they are business people. All clubs must be run as a business, otherwise they just spend themselves into massive debt.i.e. Leeds, Portsmouth, etc.

I know as fans we all want the club to sign the best players, which means high salaries, but surely not if the club ends up bankrupt.

Unlike the last bunch of yanks we had, FSG are investing in both the team and the ground. Also think our commercial activities have improved massively since they took over. As long as they stick to the business side, tell Klopp how much he has to spend each transfer window, (plus whatever he brings in in sales), I think we will become a major force again. It will not happen overnight, but when things are built gradually and correctly they last a lot longer.

you can bash me all you like but i had issues with them because i was getting pissed off with knowing the potential for greatness again that this great club has, and the club was run from the ground up by fecking amateurs!!!

we had people running things that knew nothing about the sport that alone the pressure attached to a big club, and when we did have people who knew the game, they had what experience lol, yes great that finally we have the manager that we now do(the type we should have targeted after rafa left!! wasted few years there for starters, although not all our current owners fault, esp ****ing woy!!!)

so yeah NOW im happy, but i make no apologies for wanting the best for my club, and for a time i was not happy.

thats my jimmy impression done for today :emoticon-0172-mooni <laugh>

Well I was critical of errors made on the football side of things. The business side couldn't be faulted.

Klopps appointment suggests they continue to learn from their mistakes. As long as that continues fair enough..

you have FSG & US (Jose's awful) to thank for you getting rid off Brend.

now that you have better manager than Manu & comparable squads - can you take on your real rivals than Everton?

    What you feel?

  8. I think they've been brilliant on the whole. A few minor points but by far outweighed by the good

Off the field they've done everything we could have asked of them. The financial situation stabilised, ground expansion underway (and done in the right way).

Onfield matters have been handled poorly. No progress in the league and one league cup to show for their efforts. They have simply approached football in the wrong way and until this week they simply didn't have anyone on the senior staff with the depth of knowledge required. Transfer policy has been all over the place, their manager ultimately failed, our scouting network seems to have bitten the dust and our youth team still isn't exactly churning out talent.

All the above I can forgive them for though after this week :) now just let Klopp get on with things, help him rather than hindering him and let's ****ing do this

They supposedly got the club @ £200m under the book price (distressed sale or not) because they were, according to RBS, going to start work immediately on the stadium. They we totally ****ed by the MUFA and the media over the Suarez, and if they were going to be such wimps and not challenge the length and severity of the kangaroo court they shouldn't have made any gesture whatsoever. They sacked kenny a season too early, after giving him millions to spunk. They still have this daft moneyball idea, with dorks using a qhasi Prem League manager programme to tell serious football people who to buy (and, in the case of Williams, who not to).

They're not as bad as Statler and Waldorf. Whoopee.
