Seems like a fun fella, if not completely loopy. By the sounds of it a fair few Liverpool fans seem to think he will guarantee them success and they will be winning the Prem in no time.

Any thoughts? Fun facts about the Klopster, Puns? Or amusing quotes?

On his wife: "She wrote a book for children. It’s like Harry Potter – but it’s about football. There’s no Harry Potter flying on his ****ing stick – just football."

Ok I’m bored no proper football for another week and a half!

Seems like there's a sense of relief about with no games on, take a deep breath and relax.

It won't be boring with Klopp, that's for sure. The press conferences and his touchline antics is something to look forward to.

Jurgen Klopp has seen himself linked with the Arsenal job as a potential replacement for Arsene Wenger. He's faced off with the Frenchman in the Champions League on four occasions and remains a big fan.

However, he sees one major difference:

“He likes having the ball, playing football, passes. It’s like an orchestra. But it’s a silent song. I like heavy metal more. I always want it loud."

On a similar note, Klopp is also somewhat unmoved by Barcelona's tiki-take stylings. Give him a cold, wet Tuesday night in Stoke any time:

"If, in the last four years, Barcelona were the first team I saw playing when I was four years of age — this serenity of football, they win 5-0, 6-0 — I would have played tennis.

"It is not my sport. I don’t like winning with 80 per cent [possession]. Sorry that is not enough for me. Fighting football, not serenity football, that is what I like. What we call in German 'English' — rainy day, heavy pitch, 5-5, everybody is dirty in the face and goes home and cannot play for weeks after."

One of football's characters. Glad he's come to manage in England.

Heard him described on the radio yesterday as like Mourinho only 'nice'!
I suspect his post match interviews might be fun and, given that he seems more intelligent and well read that you average fotball manager, he might give the journos a run for their money too.
I'd be very happy if I was a Liverpool fan.

I would doubt that very much as he's the figurehead of Opel (Vauxhall in the UK).

I enjoy seeing fans of liverpool, arsenal and spuds get increasingly bitter as their misplaced sense of entitlement brushes up against reality, but I have a sinking feeling that this fellow might actually deliver them success. Shame as I'd much rather see Everton and Southampton up there instead of these big spenders.

I find Liverpool fans are the worst for entitlement, except for the champions league (yes which is as big as it gets) what the **** else of worth have they won in the last 25 years! They seem to love FFP and the advantages it gives some clubs, being they have got a massive income due fans worldwide living of past success, but can't stand it when the same rules allow Man U to spunk 150 mill plus up the walls every year. Would love to see a situation where the likes of Southampton and other clubs could work there way into the top 3 or 4, however it's not going to happen when teams like Liverpool buy up their best players year after year. Klopp does seem like fun and could be really good for the Prem but you never can tell and can't say I won't have a chuckle at some of the fans if it goes tits up, the claims some are making is truly remarkable The good news for Liverpool is despite having a lot of complete twats for fans, they also have some of the best!
