Andy Hinchcliffe predicts where QPR will finish this season John Verrall @JohnVerrall Published now Queens Park Rangers are currently sitting in 11th place in the Championship table. View image | gettyimages.com Andy Hinchcliffe has told Sky Sports that he believes Queens Park Rangers will only get stronger as the season progresses. The R's have made a rather middling start to life in the Championship, with some highly credible results tarnished by heavy defeats. And Hinchcliffe feels that this inconsistency could plague QPR's season this term, with so much change happening at Loftus Road over the summer. "That might be the story of QPR's season - peaks and troughs, purely because of the change in philosophy, with Chris Ramsey now in charge, coupled with the big turnaround in personnel and the squad getting to know each other," he said to Sky Sports. "They will get stronger as the season progresses, but they may just miss out on the play-offs. Saying that, if it doesn't happen this season, I expect them to be strong contenders next." 25-year-old gives insight into what QPR will be improving during international break[/a] No team in the Championship have conceded more goals than QPR this term, and a 4-0 defeat against near neighbours Fulham was the low point of the season so far. It leaves Chris Ramsey with a lot to work on over the international break, before the London outfit return to action with a match against Birmingham City in two weeks' time.
Took me a while, but I presume that this is the offending sentence: "They will get stronger as the season progresses, but they may just miss out on the play-offs." So he is saying that they may make the playoffs ("but they may just miss out"). So I would say anywhere from 4th to 8th.
So how many heavy defeats have we had then? I can only remember one but then it is difficult to count for some of those so-called experts.
6-2 actually, including quite a few of our senior players. U21s Report: QPR 2 Hull City 6 9th October 2015, 3:00pm please log in to view this image The Under-21s continued their impressive run form with a comprehensive 6-2 victory over QPR on Friday afternoon. A Greg Luer hat-trick, along with further goals from Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, Jarrod Bowen and Conor Townsend saw Tony Pennock’s side claim a sixth win of the season and extend their unbeaten run at the start to the U21 Professional Development League 2 campaign to eight games. Against a strong QPR side that featured four first-team players in goalkeeper Alex Smithies, Yun Suk-Young, Samba Diakite and Michael Doughty, the Tigers opened the scoring after just ten minutes. Brandon Comley needlessly conceded possession in his own half and was punished for doing so by Luer, who slotted the ball past the onrushing Smithies. However, the Tigers’ lead lasted just six minutes as Michael Doughty equalised from the penalty spot after Comley had been upended inside the box. Jahraldo-Martin restored the visitors’ lead when firing in from close-range on 24 minutes before Luer added his second of the afternoon to make it 3-1 at the break. The team in black and amber remained on top in the second half, with Jarrod Bowen netting his fourth goal in as many games to make it 4-1 six minutes after the restart before Luer completed his hat-trick on 55 minutes, cutting in from the left before drilling home past Smithies. The hosts pulled a goal back with 17 minutes remaining when Comley’s 20-yard was deflected past a helpless Rory Watson but it was the Tigers who completed the scoring in the dying stages courtesy of another Townsend free-kick - his third of the season - which found the back of the net via both posts. http://www.hulltigersacademy.com/news/u21s-report-qpr-2-hull-city-6
