On paper... good squad good manager, fck knows what's going on behind the scenes. Calming and influential players like Lampard and Drogba have gone, though. Mourinho always needs a loyal core of players and the spine of Chelsea has always been that for him... until now. At Porto, Inter and Real it was similar. You think of Lampard or Materazzi in tears hugging him. Who the fck does he have that affinity with at Chelsea right now? Nobody, not even Terry. Title is gone, but the other 3 places are achievable. It happens, and there's still other trophies.
When did you ever see lampard or materazzi in tears hugging him? Thats right, you didnt. None of us know whats going on inaide the dressing room. Jt came out, said jose is his and the squads man. Thats all i need. I know what you are here for treble, but im not buying the seeds of discord you are trying to sow lol
For me i think its more a case of when a manager is in a position where his record and credentials have to be defended then its likley his position is untenable and he has to go anyways(players not picking up, points being dropped, time running out etc). Jose is at a point where realistically (hopefully) he will get us up the table, we are too good to not get around the top 4 by january. I think he/we'll be alright
I'll let someone else point it out to you george. It's one of those things that's so well known I dont even need to bother. As for the rest, paranoia is a terrible thing mate. I just said it as I see it.
Definitely, but he should also hold a 'clear the air " meeting with players, management , staffers etc, and get rid of this cloud of gloom hanging over the Bridge.
Yep. His thread Jose has been sacked... Only joking... thread on the Premier league is beyond pathetic http://www.not606.com/threads/mourinho-sacked.312756/
Not sure what this hugging debate is all about but here's Materazzi and Mourinho sharing an emotional embrace
I really don't think you will sack Jose unless your out of the top7 by Xmas, which imo is unlikely, but Has anyone thought about what manager you may be looking at if mourinho does go? And who may be available around Xmas if that's when the axe falls?
You can't honestly think he's trying to make the team play bad? I know times seem grim but don't you think that's a tad overboard. Either way I'm interested in who, realistically do you think could replace him if he does go say Xmas or before?
Big Sam's gone to Sunderland, so that's an opportunity lost, there. My betting is that Dim Sherwood could get the nod, as he's likely to be sacked by Villa, so will be available.
Villas-Boas has already said he's leaving Zenit at the end of the season. Maybe he could take over at Chelsea during the Russian league's winter break as it's so long that it would give them plenty of time to find a new manager. Mourinho maybe.
If Mourinho did leave I imagine we'd go all out for Simeone. I can't imagine Ancelotti wanting to come back, or that we'd want him back. Who else is there?
I know you Chelsea boys are probably going to turn your noses up at this, but I reckon Ian Holloway would be a good fit for your club. Yes, he's a bit of a clown, but no worse than Mourhino, on that score. At least he likes to have a laugh! What do you lads reckon? Be honest.
