The Tashzara colt RNA'd (Reserve Not Achieved) at $250,000.

I'll update the stats and we'll wait for the bandwagon to roll on to Goffs on 29th September.

Nice pic Princess. I like your dress - on you, before anyone makes any comments.

I missed Lot 133 going through the ring but caught 138 and have updated the OP, unfortunately the Goffs website has crashed again so it may be a while before I can get the result for 133 up.

€1.7M for a filly, not bad. I just hope the China Horse Club can still afford it after their stock market turbulence. Does that mean the filly will race in China?

Not necessarily, they have said they will wait until the end of the sales season before announcing training plans. They've currently got horses with Roger Varian and Richard Hannon so it is very possible she'll stay in Europe.

Lot 133 went to Mark Johnston for just €130,000

Given what you hear about Chinese culinary tastes, it is to be hoped she performs on the track <yikes>

Apologies, Lot 138 was a buyback so I'll update the OP.

How would you categorise Frankel's progeny to date Princess in terms of how they have sold? Also, and I guess related, are they generally "lookers" or are they, as I guess one would expect, a range of types from "ordinary" to "flash"?

I guess my real question is: how does Frankel rate as a stallion in these early days of his career?

All the reports I've read (as I've not seen any in the flesh yet) say that he's throwing to the dam, so getting quite a wide range of "types". Some are looking big and precocious, others like they'll take a bit of time.

Several people have commented that some have the IT Factor, a bit like he did as a youngster. They also generally seem to be good walkers, which is always a good sign.

Of course all the people talking about them are those that have a vested interest - Juddmonte representatives, people who are selling foals/yearlings, etc. this time next year we'll have a better idea!

Lot 303 was a late withdrawal from the sale. In those circumstances it is usually the case that the horse has injured himself slightly (maybe knocked a joint resulting in some swelling/lameness) at the sales and the owners aren't happy to send them into the ring.

They have not chosen a trainer yet Oddy, but she'll go to a name stable. The China Horse Club is a rapidly growing entity that won 100 races in the 2 years since it was launched. They've also bought 8 stallions, so they have some cash to splash about. In the next 8 days they'll contest 2 G1 races here in Australia and another at Longchamp.

Lot 381 also a late withdrawal so that's all the Frankel's done and dusted until next week at Tattersalls.

Let's have a quick comp to guess the highest sale price today (I guess the currency will be Guineas?)

I'll go for 1.9 million (and for a bonus point, John Ferguson will be the buyer)
