I hope I'm not alone in thinking the season is only 8 games in. It was a **** pre season and it's been a **** start to the season; but surely Jose has earned the chance to try and turn things around. If we finish mid table this year, so be it. There is no divine right to win the league or even challenge for it every year.

Football is far too fickle and short termism. It's quite sad.

Perhaps cos I remember us finishing mid table most years that I can cope with us not winning every game...

Sir Clive Woodward!! Proven winner, great pedigree and probably is more knowledgeable about football than people give him credit for.

In all seriousness, you did OK with your last stop-gap winning the Europa League when Rafa allowed the players to use their heads, so perhaps Harry Redknapp!! I think he would get the players back onside, and back up the table.

It will be Jose. I reckon he has up until January (realistically) to turn things around, and I have full faith that he will. This is not an insurmountable challenge we have given ourselves, but it's going to be the toughest season we have faced for years.

Me too. I followed us when we were mid-table in Div 2 so we are more patient than new generation. But Jose has lost the dressing room atm

It's starting to look that way. Though I can't believe these are the same players that were so good last year! They have to take a large portion of the blame and no wonder Jose's frustrated with them.

Things like the Eva situation don't help either though.

Me too. I remember staying in the old 2nd division by 0.001 of a goal or something like that. Goal average back then.

  10. Which is why Brendan has been sacked now!

Those Yanks are looking to out-flank Mad Dog and settle the matter quickly.

If Jose were ever to go then I think Guardiola or Simeone would be approached.

Not sure Simeone's brand of football would be particularly pleasing to Roman though. They are very dull albeit efficient.

I'm sure Pep would be first choice if available.

That's the reason I don't mind chelsea or Citeh, most of your fans know where you were and how you got to where you are, unlike United who actually believe they built their club on success, despite not having any for a quarter of a century after busby and going around with cap in hand begging for cash in the 80's, even going as far as having a two bit comedian doing keepie uppies to an adoring and cheering Old Trafford because he said he had £30m.

Part of me wants to ask you how you know this, but another part is too afraid that it will make me an accomplish in some sordid act of Gary Glitter-esque porno-philia.
