In today’s press conference Kit said that Fredericks hadn’t trained since the other night but Richards is fit again, so I reckon it’s him that will play. Garbutt is also fit and back in contention so that’s a wee conundrum at LB. Reckon Husband will be the one to start however and Garbutt on the bench. The obvious exclusion is Cairney and LVC should be a ‘shoe-in’ as his replacement. O’Hara didn’t look quite fit enough on Tuesday night and I’d be tempted to bring in the fresh legs of Matilla: doubt if Kit sees it that way though. So, the starting line-up is likely to be - ……………….Lonergan…………….. ..Richards...Stearman…Ream…Husband.. …………Tunnicliffe…..O’Hara… ……LVC………………….……Pringle…. ………….<..McCormack..>…… ………………….Dembele……
What can go wrong!? * The Addicks are on a run of 6 games without a win * Kit says, “it will be a scrappy game and we’ll nick it - but whatever, it’s three points.”
That's confidence for you ,the managers job is to enthuse , not the pathetic " it will be a scrappy one"
I think it will be C58s lineup. It would be nice to go into the international break with a win, but you never know which team will turn up.
Don't know what went wrong today but I see two basic reasons. Kit making a couple of useless subs on the left and middle as well as McC dropping too deep inviting them to attack. If we can't win games like this there is something wrong. Winning against QPR and loosing against Wolves was very Fulhamish... Today is just stupid...
Totally agree Madness. The issue of substitutions is recurring too often to be coincidence. Yet again the first two (Garbutt and Dembele) appeared to be pre-planned rather than in any way attempting to influence the game. In other circumstances you could argue that "we were cruising" and the changes were made looking forward to the next game. But with the International break next up, that doesn't hold water. And, as it transpired both substitutions backfired. Without the threat of Dembele, Charlton had a comfortable final 20 minutes at the back and could push men forward. Garbutt offered little and arguably his diddling around and cost us their second goal. The third substitution was presumably in an attempt to waste time and plain stupid, given that it was O'Hara who came off. So, our other potential MOTM (after Dembele) gets taken off at another key point in the game - for no good reason. Beggars belief. Final point on substitutions. If Kit was going to make one,it should have been after their first and it was crying out for the height of Dan Burn. But ... going full circle ... if he hadn't made the first two we might oughtn't to have been there in the first place!
Did not go to todays game, but as fFFC Madness said these are must win games. As I keep saying Kit is no tactician, carry on like this we will see next may, us, if lucky in the bottom half of the table.
I have to stop watching Fulham. I rarely get to see games now, but every damn time they disappoint me. Three points in the bag, and they blow it during garbage time.
on the plus side there are 6 things to be positive about - we didn't lose, we got a point, we moved up the table, we didn't lose, we got a point, we moved up the table. Have I already said that? Were there cheerleaders?
We actually threw away 2, but still very disappointing from the good position we had got ourseves in.
Had it finished 2-1 a lot of us would be writing about the 75 mins of good stuff, but the old problems surfaced in the last 15 mins. Their first showed we are not a confident team. Sub's by both teams changed the game.
