You'd be in the opposite trench you Nazi bastard! and back to the thread. It would be until Christmas for me. So that the new manager could come in, see what he has to work with and has the whole of the January window to get who he wants. So hopefully we don't do what we did with McInnes as sack him at the end of January leaving SOD with no time to get any players in. Having said all that I still have full faith in Cotterill to get us out of this mess and I'll back him and the boys 100% BUT! if results don't change, what he did last season will count for nothing as it's now in our history. You can do it Cotterill, ya mad bastard ya. Sort it out asap though please
If we sack the manager we will almost certainly get relegated, we may anyway, but at least he has a fighting chance, he has given a very good squad a chance to settle in to a level above, there are issues and its now time to act. Some things were very obvious about yesterdays game.. Unfortunately, and I held high expectations for him, Marlon Pack is not quick enough for this level, (both mentally and physically) he slows play down and all the early movement made around him is neutralised by his slowness on the ball, I have given him a fair amount of time to adjust to the level, I now believe he won't be able to. Joe Bryan was visibly off it yesterday, I suspect he was ill.. Wilbs may also be finished at this level, last season he was making the ball stick and buying our midfield time to regroup, its just coming straight back at us due to his poor touches, it would be fairer to him if we had a similar player to give him some time out but we haven't. I don't know if that is Cotts fault or not? Luke Freeman is trying too hard! he is hurting from our poor results and you can see it! We need a break of luck to get some confidence back.
I am not voting. I would add to Banksy's comment that Freeman is trying to put everything right himself. He must not continue trying to beat half a dozen opponents every time he gets the ball. A give and go is often more effective.
The players confidence is gone, what has caused that i would love to know. Only kojack and Baker played okay. The rest looked all out of sorts.
There will be a desicion next month about whether we stick with him and back him in January or back another man in January
it is a bit short on choices and to be frank its not all gloom... check out where the points come from. this table is still early to get a real definitive pattern, what happens when Sheff play some of the top teams? as an example.. I did vote for keep and do nowt at the moment got the result at 3pm today1 I was disappointed as a draw and conceding in last minute!
We 'got rid' of GJ when we were in a higher position than this - and still have not regained it. Be careful what you wish for - you may get it!! Those haters who wanted GJ gone sent us into the dark ages of L1 and nearly worse. At least Cotts has shown us a glimmer of light again. Don't spoil it!!!
I like SC and cant thank him enough for what he achieved and the memories/results/performances that he gave us last season, and I certainly do not want him to be replaced. If the owner/boards plan, seemingly backed by others on here, is that they are happy for us not to bring in enough quality to see us stay up, and for us to be a yo-yo club between the Championship and L1 then that's a very different matter, and is one I'm 100% against after all the work of last season which has been blown to smithereens in a few short weeks of this campaign.
Ticket prices may have to increase, but selling players who aren't good enough, and not renewing contracts of others will also provide some funding. MK Dons picked up Maynard (as an example) at a price that his 'people' found hard to take, yet they still accepted it. There are players out there, at home and abroad, that don't have to be £9m each and who could probably improve our squad.
I vote for Jan as a minimum. How many times have we seen on here that changing managers every 5 minutes is A - Costly B - Usually ineffective

No how much are you prepared to pay? Sheff Weds smashed prices up. £35 pay on day? £500 lower end of Dolman rising to £8/900? Atyeo £240 must go surely??
I personally have no issue raising prices, but i am not in the majority on a budget, the club has to think about the volume coming through the doors. however if SL does not want to take us forward, why talk about a tilt at the prem this season. Best keep his mouth shut. The whole mess has to be blamed at the feet of the board.
