First post after coming back from the pub watching the game. Well done Arsenal, thoroughly deserved <applause> We were (a long way) second best all over the pitch.

    Fantastic result!

Wenger deserves credit for team selection and tactics today, plus he reacted to the swing towards Utd in the second half by packing the midfield and making good subs to see out the game.

We destroyed them in the first half. And in the second we defended well and still created some good chances on the counter with oxo even hitting the bar at the end. Could of been 5 or 6-0!

    Very pleased with that!

Oh and we have double the points of Chelsea <laugh>

I'd base it on having had two seasons in a row more successful than Utd and having knocked you out of the FA Cup in a semi final, drew with you at Old Trafford in the league and then destroyed you today in the league, being our last three matches head to head.

But you can base it on just today and come to the same conclusion - you'd probably have to agree at least some Arsenal players might get a look in? <laugh>

Actually I did say one <whistle>

But in all honesty I have absolutely no qualms about any one of our players - except Rooney. Our display today (and all season) is down to one man, and he wasn't anywhere near the pitch. I was at OT midweek and most of the fans there were ridiculing it (despite the win). Van Gaal is a spoofer mate.

Not saying any Arsenal players wouldn't get into the United team because they clearly would regardless of today's result. Just find it funny how everyone only uses the last 2 seasons to pick and choose examples against us lol

    What a fabulous result.

What impressed me, aside from being clinical for once, is that after we went 3-0 up, we weren't getting caught up in the moment and overcommitting men to score more goals (i.e. Anderlecht), we were well disciplined in our positioning and transitioned from defence to attack with such lightening speed as a result of the players sticking to their areas on the pitch.

It was a very intelligent and controlled second half as well. We knew United would dominate the ball, but we dealt with everything they threw at us with ease. They did keep the ball well but when they were around our box, their passing was too slow and because we were so well-organised, they struggled to break us down. Very little movement up front.

Darmian had a torrid half against Sanchez and Young couldn't provide width because they were so susceptible to counter-attacks. Rooney & Mata did nothing of note and Martial was isolated.

And now I've just heard that Rodgers has been sacked. Amazing! <laugh>

No complaints. Perfect response after the midweek debacle and dare I say the hunt begins? Consistency is key. More performances like this on a more regular basis and we'll be in for a very good season.
