One refs view. Pretty sure we've seen players in the league sent off for pushing an opponent.

Highlights of the game: Barkley soiling his pants when Can steps up to him, and Sakho going mental at Lukaku.

I thought he was very conscious of not giving out too many cards and wanted to avoid giving out a red. Several players could have seen extra cards today I thought. I suppose different people put different weight on reffing by the letter of the law and on reffing in a common sense kind if way.

And I'd imagine we all flutter back and forth between both at various times!

Barkley should have had 3 yellows...

Lucas shouldn't have been sent off as his first wasn't a yellow...

He is still very silly for tripping McCarthy. Very irresponsible.

Took one for the team I guess, but point remains, his first yellow wasn't a yellow but Barkley had 2 def yellows for kicking ball away and the dive, and a 50/50 one with Can.

I agree that the first yellow didn't warrant it but he was on a booking and he makes that silly foul. Lucky boy but fortunately wasn't punished.

Isn't a yellow only given for a dive for trying to trick the ref? Since Barkley jumped straight back to his feet and played on it could be argued he didn't attempt to trick the ref so shouldn't of got a yellow.

Kicking the ball away was the nailed on yellow he should of got by the letter of the law, but didn't.

It wasn't Lucas' first foul like. I know it's part of his role, but he should have been on a yellow before the one he got anyway. The one just outside thee box should have been the first.

"Brendan Rodgers also says that he does not fell under any pressure, and Liverpool is 'a constant rebuilding job, whether that's me in charge or someone else.'"

Why? Why are we a "constant rebuilding job"? We've lost 1 WC and one talented player in the last 2 years... how can that be a rebuilding job? Rebuild after Suarez, sure... but what are we rebuilding from after last year? Losing Stelring... you don't need to rebuild, you just go spend £10m on a payer that can replace him, a quick wide forward from Spain, there's plenty of them around who can get 5 goals a season.

He's doing a good job of copying Roy, who told us a draw was a good result, Rodgers is telling us that we're not as good as we think we are and we need to rebuild.
