Agree with every word you said. He follows in the footsteps of Sea The Stars in winning the Derby, Eclipse, Irish Champion Stakes and the Arc! His tactics were spot on, and Golden Horn had his favoured ground today but Treve sure didn't have it. I hope she enjoys her retirement!
Hes a good horse, I thought he would struggle from the draw but Frankie wasnt messing about riding for luck. Him and Treve were a different class from the rest and the ground went for him. In truth it was an average at best Arc, New Bays form was a millions miles off, Flintshire will run second to whatever is in a race and Treve cant produce her best on firm ground. But the winner is a top class colt as most of us knew, and the best European form of the season holds up, Jack must be a goodthing for the Champion Stakes. I keep saying every year, the draw is irrelevant, you look at the great names who win the race, its only a coincidence if they are drawn low, the draw didnt win them the race. The draw can beat a bad one but time and again class tells in this race, thats why its the best race in Europe, not some handicap sprint at Chester.
Unstinting and sustained applause all round, you'd say: owner, trainer, jockey and horse. A-plus every one of them. If you can only award one gold medal, give it to Frankie: masterclass.
Backed Free Eagle eway myself but that was just stunning - superb performance by both Golden Horn and Frankie!! Right, now that this flat pish has finished, can't we start talking about National Hunt?!
Wish they'd hurry the **** up and announce the full result. Waiting to see if I get my money back on New Bay, but with these French stewards I could be waiting till it gets dark.
Surely goldream and sole power will love the fast ground. Win bets on both me thinks. Great racing today!!
Old Thousand Stars out in the Istabraq at Tipp next. FFS if he's well beaten here I hope they just retire him. He looks to be falling out of love with the game
Nothing to do with first three, Archers, was just behind them. New Bay ran a great race, but Golden Horn and Frankie were just out of this world. So clever keeping him wide after the start, and gradually sliding over towards the rail. Superb. Congratulations to all those who said Flintshire would run a big one. He did!
Thomas was value at 4/6 alright Mind you he's probably being aimed for the County with the crook of crooks Martin. Have to retire Thousand Stars now.
Bloody hell, Rangali got nailed on the line for the second year running . Nevermind, e/w at 28/1 was very nice, I'll take it!
Jaysus watch the replay of Thomas Edisons race, how Geraghty even had the indignation to bring the whip with him for the ride
