    Sky reporter to Dick.
Can you say that you will be staying on?

    Dick
    No, I cannot say that.

Make of that what you will.

If he does go, and although I didn't think he would this morning it now seems to be a big possibility, then Sam is the pick of the names so far mentioned.

"I cannot say that. The newspapers must have something to write otherwise there is nothing in the newspapers." - He got that right. Suggests they`re making it up?

I made observations about who made up our board in early August, For most of them their first job in football was here. One of them even brags about being the soul safc representative in the Ji transfer. Where do you start putting it right though we are handicapped right at the top but most of the people responsible are untouchable while another decent football loving man has been warped liked action man in a microwave. I don't buy this "Ellis Short has kept our club going" ****. We are the club! People like Short and his cronies don't deserve to associate themselves with us. However people who do MoN, PDC, Keane, Poyet And now Dick have been made scapegoats while no work has been done to remedy our actual problems.

No there isn't, but to be honest mate, the things he's saying straight after the game just isn't helpful and after a while is just bloody irritating!

Is he asking to be sacked or does he want us all to tell him how much we love him and please don't go?

All this speculation now is just ridiculous.

3 hours ago I said I hoped he'd stay. Just changed my mind.

Two weeks to our next game. Go tomorrow, get Big Sam in on Monday and let's just get on with it!

He might be thinking he is going to get sacked, or he might already know?

I think we have somebody lined up, Dick has known and accepted it for a week or two, and is keeping his seat warm for when he takes over, ideally over the international break.

if Dick's had enough and wants to walk I can understand that, but if Short's replacing him I'd be really shocked................it seems way too early to make that sort of call unless he's got somebody mega special lined up.

I think if he leaves it will be a mutual decision. Maybe Dick (and his wife) think that he shouldnt continue for the good of his health. Might have given Short the nod to start looking for a replacement earlier than planned. As soon as we find one he will be happy to step aside? If thats the case then I suspect that we have got someone already. Its a wild theory of mine, I have no evidence of this but his statement that he would leave if he felt somebody else would do better suggests to me that something like my theory could be happening. And it wouldnt surprise me if he has an input on choosing his own potential replacement.

I think you spat the dummy, pointed your high and mighty ****ing finger, than disappeared without a word. Height of bad manners to not even attempt to back up confrontation you've started. An apology would have been suffice(or even a touché) for acting like such a prat for having a go at a poster who was applying exactly the same attempt of humor as yourself.

I never saw a single member of the Board on that field today. It was 'football men' who threw two points away when we had them already in the bag - nobody else..

Football is a funny old game. The 'buck' doesn't ultimately stop with the man in the Chairman's seat - it stops with the bunch of 'c***s on the field, who either bring home the bacon or they don't. After all, winning 3 points on the field is what football is all about, isn't it?. Why don't we start telling the truth here instead of making up lame excuses for these freeloading stupid punks who really let us down today?

It means to me 'if I'm sacked it's Short's call.' Surely if he was to walk he would have just walked. Before the game let alone after it. It's not like a conventional working contract.

Frankly, that statement, if he is staying, is just going to further unstabilise the club.

For me that's week as piss for a manager and if he should go then so be it. He seems to lack the bollocks for the fight, frankly.

Do you always create confrontation than run away? It's everything I hate in a person. At leat I hang around if I stir the pot. You had something to say and ****ed off. Show a spine and answer my response to your unnecessary attack on the other thread. Shy off if you want. I'm happy to make a dick of you. At least I know I'm a dick(but I'm as straight up as they come), that's part and parcel of having a spine mate. Putting your hands up when you're out of order and your were. You were out of order and it pisses me off because you're a poster I respect(respected! Not like that's worth much, but personally it does).

It'a not about biting it's about respect.

Must admit Nads this is confusing the hell out of me.

    Is he staying?
    Is he going?
Is Congers going, a new coach coming in and DA moving to DoF?

Buggered if I can figure it out mate.

You reckon? It's about perception init? I see it as defiance. 'If I'm going it's down to Short. In the mean time our summer business isn't good enough now set us a decent January budget so that me and Congers can start working on targets.'

If Dick was going to walk why wouldn't he have done it before today? He hasn't walked today either, despite numerous media outlets saying he was walking out regardless of the result today. Surely such a sure thing would have been confirmed by now?

Way I see it we're only seeing the ****storm the media are creating. We know Dick has always used the media to send a message whether it be a message to the board or players, it's just the way he roles. But he's on the inside as is Short. The press are just second guessing like the rest of us (on the outside). It's punching blind mate. It would be naive to read too much into it and instantly join the media to suspecting the worse. They're only following their own agenda that gets them newspapers sales and website hits after all. They're salesmen not a SAFC propaganda machine.

I'll be astonished(and very disapointed) If Dick's not in charge for the Mags.

Never underestimate the wrath of the media when a premier league club locks them out on new signings like we did. Simon Bird confirmed to me personally, I'm looking for the twitter conversation.
