How often has this happened throughout Pompey's history? Everyone gets excited by an upturn the wham! Hopes are shot down in flames. Really it is not good enough for a club of this stature to be beaten by the likes of anyone in this league, Paul Cook has some serious analysis to do to solve the problem!! And don't give me "Park the bus" as a reason to the loss.
The end of the unbroken run - just lacking the killer punch tonight. Even Tubbs headed it over from 4 yards out. Our away form is better than our home form.
Just got home. Exeter defended extremely well, and basically deserved the win. We did not perform. Danny Hollands conceded possession for their first goal, and was poor throughout the match. Adam Barton was excellent. Conor Chaplin never really got into the game. We need to regroup ready for Yeovil on Saturday - Cookie needs to give them a good talking to and bring back Doyle and Roberts in midfield.
I warned you last season about Exeter people having 6 toes and their keeper having 6 fingers. It's unfair I know but just a quirk of nature they have to live with. It does help them occasionally though as in some football matches.
Strange how Pompey beat the two headed players with long tails from Plymouth but lost to the 6 toes and finger players from Exeter lol no wonder they are trying so hard to get out of this league lol
