If/when we sell Austin in next transfer window, perhaps we should look at the likes of Tom Bradshaw from Walsall, young (23) ,on the up (ie not down) and will cost a fraction of what we get for Austin. No doubt Derby/Middlesbro' etc will get there 1st but someone we should seriously look at.
The owners spent the clubs money now we have to pay it back to them, Great work if you can get it. #Lessons Learned.
Er... not exactly spent the clubs money as the club didn't generate enough annual income to fund the expenditure each year, hence a yearly deficit. This deficit could only be funded by the owners putting in their own money to keep the club solvent and meet day to day costs, hence the club now has a huge debt to the owners...... The owners have now rather belatedly said enough is enough and the club has to be self sufficient and day to day expenditure has to be meet from income as far as possible....that is why Ramsey was appointed as Manager/Coach however you want to describe it, and that is why unless the club are promoted then the failure to sell Austin, Phillips, Fer, Sandro will be viewed as bad business as those deals would have supplied the additional funds to meet the day to day running costs.......
can't agree with Watford's comments re strikers. plenty around sitting on benches. however getting them here as he says is a problem. Not that he is a striker or i would want him but Joke Cole has asked to go out on loan to a Championship club. there are players about, here and abroad we just need to find them/one
Isn't it someone's job to 'recruit'. Pure and simple, someone is employed to do that job and nothing else. What else do they do all day? We have all looked at who is sitting on benches/not getting a game/out of contract so someone at the club needs to do the same. Otherwise it's Blackwood/JET and G/Cox up front and the former would have to be got back from Newport.
If they're on the bench then they're highly unlikely to be available to loan. In the Prem we'd be limited to youth players or those outside the 25, most of whom I'd expect are already loaned out if good enough. Might be worth trying for someone like Origi at Liverpool but I'd expect they want him at a prem club.
Hang on Watford you said earlier when i mentioned strikers "Who are these good strikers we could bring in at the drop of a hat"? Are you asking me to do Sir Les job?
Well I'd expect him of all people to be in a position to know what striker we could get but also as a full-time employee of the club (I think) I'd love to know what his working week consists of.
I'm all ears if you can. I mentioned Origi earlier but doubt that could happen. Leicester seem to have plenty of strikers. Perhaps someone like Ulloa or Kramaric if they aren't getting in the squad.
Yes, we are currently waiting on a decision from Jimmy Floyd Hasslebank on getting fully kitted again. Fingers crossed!
