So Sam Byram got given a high contract so that when we sold him we would get more money. So because Cellino isn't going to sell him he expects Byram to sign a deal lower than his current. He's an absolute whopper isn't he
Not a whopper at all... He's trying to keep our wage bill at a relative amount. If Byram is already being paid a high wage, he certainly doesn't deserve an increase. Murphy took a pay cut because he wanted to play for Leeds...
Well he hooked you in Murphy isn't wanted by premiership clubs and is older than Byram so can't compare them. I'm sure if he offered him the same money for another 2/3 years he would sign
I think a few may be disappointed in a few years time in Byrams progress or lack of. Hes a decent Championship player and may well cut it in lower reaches of PL with the Norwichs or Sunderlands. He looked good a couple of seasons back for us, but who wouldnt in that particular squad. Just my opinion, but totally over rated
