It would be nice if football could move on (re Alcohol) treating people like children is not really justified anymore in this country. It would be lovely to be able to enjoy a pint in the stands.
While there are still ****s who can't drink responsibly, and who still think its acceptable to act like utter ****s because they're in a footy stadium, not going to happen. Yes, the minority do spoil it for the majority in this instance.
Ironically called the "Carling" stand!! Whether the minority spoil it on occasions, should not change the fact that people should be allowed a beer or not. Who's decision is this...the Plod???? its stupid, surely the club is allowed to sell alcohol as they have a licence and is impacting them as a business. Im sure the police have some ****ty law that says they can revoke it for a day etc, but **** you. Viva la revolution!!!!
Bring in prohibition. That brought about a period of peace, calm and lawfulness in the USA. And all those countries where alcohol is banned have such peaceful, placid residents, don't they?
There's people who can't drink responsibly and are acting like ****s in every city centre every weekend, there's absolutely no justification for banning alcohol at a football ground nowadays.
All true. For some peculiar reason, the legislation that prevents us having a beer on the way or in sight of the pitch applies to English League Football and Scottish Rugby Union.
Nevermind alcohol, the ****ing segregation criteria needs sorting out first. So many empty seats left "well empty" due to the stupid elf n safety muppets who cannot organise a piss up in a brewery. First things first imo.
To be fair, I don't see the segregation being much of an issue this year! We have thousands of other empty seats at the KC that we need to fill before we worry about segregation taking up to many seats.
When we are top of the league at the end of April and TWS come to the KC needing points to try and avoid relegation there could be a full house.
You are right and certain games may exceed the current ave. of just over 17000 but of the 5 home games so far 4 have been under 17000.
Isn't that a bit weird? Why would it go down by that much? Less away fans or matchday sales dropping?
Don't have figures on away fans'attendance But 1st game against Hudderfield was reasonably close for away fans and being the first game the att. was 19361.. Fulham. at 16579 could be down to less away fans .PNE again relatively close was 16941. But Blackburn again relatively close was 16486. Seems also that a significant number of home supporters are not attending.
Undoubtedly, but I'm surprised people would go to the first game and then stop. Usually after the first game people say it's the summer holidays and people are abroad so crowds will get bigger. Dunno how true that actually is though.
