Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth is keen to add a couple more faces to his squad before the new season gets under way - but admits he might have to play the loan market to bolster his ranks.

He is looking to find "one or two more players" for the new campaign to add to the four signings he has already made this summer.

Central-back Aaron Brown, midfielder Jamie Collins, goalkeeper Ross Worner and forward Bradley Bubb are Holdsworth's new recruits. Now the manager will look to bring players in on a temporary basis to build for the season ahead.

Holdsworth said: "We're nearly there with regards to the squad. We know that we're going to need one or two more players but we might use the loan market for that.

"I'm delighted with the balance of the squad and we'll make sure that we do the right things."

From what I've seen at the one friendly I've been to, the first eleven look very good, neat, expansive and fast football, I think everyone agrees we need more cover for the back four, in case of injuries and eventual tiredness.
There are some very promising youngsters coming through, how many can establish themselves in the squad, and how quickly is the million dollar question.
If we can get off to a solid start I think with confidence high we will do well.
The manager and his staff are top notch, I've been and watched them training and the atmosphere is great and everyone his buzzing.
As promised I will give this site a go and hope some of the old regulars on 606 join me, here's to an exciting new season.
