Brentford have sacked head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen after just eight games. please log in to view this image
He probably has ourselves and Burnley to largely thank for his demise. Odubajo and Gray were a good partnership that would have seen them well above their current position. Maybe unsurprisingly both players still seem to be missing each other's input at their respective clubs. The one positive from the Brentford sacking is that it may encourage the Allam's to take some decisive management decisions with regard to our own management. I won't hold my breath. However unattractive performances will undoubtedly eventually transpire into unattractive results, unfortunately by that time it will probably be too late, for this season anyway. No one tells the Allam's how to run their business, they can lose as much money as they want.
This is what happens when you sell your three best players to league rivals (Moses to us, Gray to Burnley, Dallas to Leeds) and don't replace them accordingly.
Former Everton midfielder Lee Carsley has replaced Marinus Dijkhuizen as Brentford boss until the end of the season.
Early days yet but Gray is currently running at 1 goal in 4, Abel 4 in 8. Maybe we've saved ourselves some money. Also, anyone when Diomande's meant to be fit?
