After considering it...what the **** are Deila and Lawwell up to?

    85 goals in 15 years. <doh>

Well and truly scraping the barrel now.

It's a desperation signing in case Griffiths gets injured as Ciftci has been pish!

Scepovic came on as a sub and scored the winner on his debut in La Liga at the weekend. <doh>

It's not as bad as Ian Wright or Dion Dublin tho... Cole, if he plays regularly, will score about 10 goals minimum up here.

I have no idea why he was never given a chance! It's mental... if players are being signed without managesr approval, then <doh>

He's saying he needs a target man after he has spent £4.2 on Ciftci and Scepovic in a 12 month period. If they weren't his signings then Eddie is right and he's just Lawwell's puppet.

It's a baffling way to approach an area of the scouting that has been at best amateurish since 2010, especially when he'd be ineligible for the EL.

He's defo a Yes man ... it's the way we're going to go, young inexperienced managers with potential as the board won't want another MoN or even a manager who demands cash (like Keane).

I agree he's a yes man, that's one of his big selling points. But to be a manager then let the board foist any old dummy upon you is ****ebag behaviour.

The list of pishy strikers in a 4 year period is ****ing staggering. The amount of failed loans and disappointing "projects" we'd had would make a Zimbabwean city planner feel good about themselves.

Remember the old BBC Fan's Forum when we signed Dion Dublin? Place was in meltdown <laugh>

He's a decent enough player, and think he will do a job for us but for me this makes me question the scouting.

We know Stokes, Griffiths and Scepovic are not target men or even good in the air, I assume that we wanted a striker who would fit this role to complete the list of striking options we have.

I assume we identified Shifty as being the man, to be honest I thought the same, but I've watched him when he's played against us possibly the same as Ronny, you would have thought the scouts would have watched him and reported back that he isn't that type of striker and from there we make a decision to sign him anyway and look for someone else on the cheap or to move to another target.

I doubt this happened and Ronny is left with a striker who is still a good player but doesn't offer us that something different we need

This signing makes me ****ing angry. He's past it, and mainly because he's black.

    I wouldn't like you when you're angry.

I don't like you anyway so it's probably a moot point though. <whistle>

I'd rather nobody than this guy, nothing against him but he'll only stop a youngster getting games.

    This. <ok>

I don't understand blaming the player as all he wants to do is what is best for himself. Deila and Lawwell, and whomever else is involved in scouting players, want their ****ing heads checked.

Cole won't cost much and won't stay beyond the season, unless he falls in love with the club/holding company

Delia might have more of a say on who he gets in mostly because, imo, he isn't asking for Keane Bellamy or the likes

Would agree if we had any decent strikers ready to step up from the youth.

Aiden Nesbitt is apparently a target man, how do we know if he is any good if he doesn't get a run? I would be much happier giving him some game time - 10 games or so.

still i would take cole over cifcti every day of the week

As a hammer I think you're getting a lot more than you think you are. Cole works his arse off for the team and has scored some important goals for us. We were set up not to concede goals, rather than to score them so most of the balls aimed in his rough direction were from the centre backs clearing it. I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit 10 - 20 goals in the SPL given a decent run in the team
