Tyson Fury turned up to today's press conference dressed as Batman, had a mock fight with someone dressed as The Joker, before both being removed from the room.

He came back a few minutes later in a three piece suit, Klitschko just shook his head and called him a clown.

He really is a dipshit, I can't believe this fight is generating £30m .

It'll be generating the money as I think Fury will be walking away with all 3 belts, so it's clearly caught the imagination. Klitschko has reigned supreme in what has been an incredibly poor heavyweight division, his time is up.

He's on the slide a bit now but prime Klitschko would be a tough match for any heavy weight in any era. You can't dismiss his achievements or his ability. The 60s and 70s were the best decade for HW boxing, it's been on the decline since then. The 90s and 2000s were ****e as well.

Wlad is a legitimite boxing great.

I watch a lot of boxing, he hasn't really fought anyone of note. The Tyson era was littered with outstanding heavyweight boxers. The Klitschko era has been really poor, there are much better heavyweights coming through now with Fury and Joshua. He'll be finished after this bout - I don't rate him at all.

There's no hope if you think Fury is a 'much better heavyweight'. We'll never agree.

I'm looking forward to an exciting match anyway.

I didn't say I liked Fury - he's just got too much in his locker for Klitschko. He'll knock him out inside the distance. No problem.

Klitschko on points. He's not interested in a brawl and will have too much skill for Fury.

It's going to be a good scrap, Fury has had 24 fights of which 18 have been by KO and hasnt lost. Klitschko has had 64 fights with 54 KO's and only 3 losses. So it shows both are pretty big hitters and both have only gone the distance 6 and 7 occasions respectively.

Fury isn't a big hitter at all. His knock out rate is due to his opposition and the fact he has a lot of weight. He's a slapper in terms of punching power. Wlad on the other hand has incredible one punch knock out power. Furys only chance is to run for the entire fight and win on points and hope wlads age catches up with him.

We'll soon be able to see exactly how hard each fighter punches...

Boxing Glove Sensors To Show Punch Power On TV

The plan is to show real-time punch statistics during fights, similar to the way the speed of tennis shots is displayed.

HBO is planning to put sensors in boxing gloves to show how fast and hard punches land during live fights.

The network has been awarded a patent for sensor technology that would see an accelerometer and gyroscope embedded into the front of boxing gloves.

A database containing motion profiles can then recognise data sent from the sensors, to track the duration and speed of a punch.

The plan is to show real-time punch statistics during fights, similar to the way the speed of tennis shots is displayed during tournaments.

It follows a move by the NFL this season to add computer chips to players' shoulder pads.

It has allowed broadcasters to show the speed and distance of player sprints during plays.

HBO has been reportedly testing the technology for years.

The system could also see sensors added to the boxer's shorts, headgear and shoes to take more measurements during a bout.

The fact he has a lot of weight behind his punch adds to the power of the punch which in turn adds to big hits, not desputing that his opponents have been ill matched to him, in fact I think there is Steve Cunningham to have put Fury on the canvas (not 100% on this though).
I don't think this scrap will go the distance and think Wlad will probably knock Fury out in the 8/9 round.
