Enough said really Jake, was great to see him back in a City shirt, and for those who questioned his fitness levels........well?
Thought Jake did amazingly well to control his emotions last night. He looked close to tears before kick-off and when he was sub'd. Great to see him back and I hope that playing football will help the healing process.
Not sure if it has already been done, but have HCST sent any message to Jake welcoming him back? Just a thought.
The boy looks like a powerhouse at the moment. Good that he's back, punishment served as far as I'm concerned.
Its like a £4m signing for free and he gets his career back on track. What's not to be chuffed about?
Nice one Jake. Could have said Cyril, his middle name, but I've no idea what that's from. Sorry Chazz.
Cyril Knowles - Spurs. He was the inspiration for the popular record "Nice one, Cyril", performed by Cockerel Chorus, which peaked at number 14 in the UK singles charts in March 1973, and is widely regarded as the greatest left-back in the history of Tottenham Hotspur by both supporters and critics (Wiki).
I welcomed him back in person on Thursday, while attending the player sponsorship day on behalf of the Trust, we've also just put this up... http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/welcome-back-jake-livermore/
I'm delighted for him and the club, it's been well dealt with and we all know how good a player he really is and in my opinion just the right sort to boss the championship midfield
Well written piece from HCST. Onwards and upwards now. Get Snodgrass back and we have one fierce midfield.
100% Correct and indeed so. ^^^^^ this I think i was the only one on here who thought that Jake would start. He proved his worth for sure. Jake now Ready for a couple of championship games off the bench (blackburn & forest) and an U21 game during the international break to get him upto speed. From 17th Oct to 8th November Hull City are going to be very bery busy. FACT. Sat/tues - Sat/tues - Sat/tues - Sat. which then takes us to the November (8th-20th) international break.
End of the day Tickles he is an athlete, so just because he was baned from playing footy doesn't mean he would sit on his arse and do nothing, keeping yourself in shape, particulary to the standard the modern football player is, is like a bug......you have to do something or you feel guilty for not doing anything. I had a feeling he would start, hence why I took my 3 year old to his first night match!
