    Good Morning Everyone,

It took Cellino 7 days to get back to his old ways!

Speaking to the YEP, Cellino decided to have a rant about Byram.

"Sam Byram is the only one that maybe thinks Leeds is too small for him.

“He maybe thinks he deserves to be in a bigger team and a bigger club and maybe he’s right. But when I hear that a player from Leeds, with his agent, that he thinks that Leeds is not big enough for him, that he wants something bigger, I felt really embarrassed.

“He didn’t sign the new contract and he won’t sign it anymore. He’s been offered a contract a few times, he didn’t want to sign and I am deeply offended."

Forget whether Cellino was right to say what he did, do you agree what he said?

Is Cellino publically belittling one of his employees to try and turn the Leeds fans against him?

Middlesbrough duo Daniel Ayala and Cristhian Stuani are doubtful for Sundays game at the Riverside.

The pair has picked up ankle injuries in their last week’s win at Nottingham Forest and missed Boro’s Capital One Cup victory over Wolves.

The pair were unavailable due to ankle injuries that they picked up last week against Nottingham.

Asked if the duo would be available to face Leeds United on Sunday, Karanka answered:

“I don’t know; sometimes I change players because I want to rest them but Stuani and Ayala were not able to play today (Tuesday). Therefore, we have to speak with the doctor and see what is happening.

“Both of them have an ankle problem. Dani had a problem on Saturday; I think in the first half, he had to leave the field for one minute or two minutes, and Cristhian finished the game with pain.

Can we get anything from that game?

Is Buckley worth the 1m Leeds will have to splash out on him come January?

Do you think he will go straight into the starting line up, if so, at who's expense?

If you could choose one more position to fill on the pitch, where would it be, and why?

Morning all. I blame the agent mainly in the Byram saga. Clearly Cellino hates agents like most of us. For the most part they are talentless leeches living off other people's talents. They didn't exist when I began watching footie and it was a far better setup for it. It's sickening really but the whole game is now ruled by money and greed. No loyalty whatsoever

Byram has been offered a contract a few times and Cellino has agreed different things and amended accordingly. Obviously Cellino is now aware that Byram will have to be sold and many of us will kick off with Cellino, so I think he is getting is defence in place now by blaming Byram. Nothing wrong with that and from Sams performances overall I would say his heart isn't fully in the battle. Sorry to see him go but .....

Buckley can be brilliant and will also have some nightmare games, but will give us more width, more options and a different angle of attack and allow us to change formation/tactics when needed (If Rosler knows how)

When will Erwin get a chance

Morning Eire, do other clubs suffer in the same way as us, and as more importantly as frequently as us?

Morning Doc, I believe Cellino offered Byram LESS money IN HIS NEW CONTRACT. Im pretty sure of this.

Really hope Buckley will add more stability to the team.

Cellino was 100% out of order speaking out like that. You hit the nail on the head yesterday Elland, 18 months or so back we would never have attracted some of these players. We won't be attracting them in the near future if Cellino doesn't stay away from the media.

We might miss Pearson more than we realised in the coming months. I also agree with Doc in that Byram has had his head turned, he is off form and rather than pull his socks up he is suggesting he is uncomfy with his further forward role.

Cellino made another mention of ground buying back, we have Buckley lined up and ending on a positive Bates would have pocketed the money last year so it isn't all bad.

These things happen all the time, I don't blame Byram not wishing to take a pay cut, I don't blame Cellinos stance but please... Cellino stay away from the press

I think he could have worded it differently, but he is right, is an under performing player, in a mid table second tier football team worth a wage of £400,000 a year?

Perhaps if more owners thought along those lines football as a whole would be in a better place.

Morning Xpbod, he needs to engage brain, especially before speaking to the papers.

In a world of rising wages for football players, why drop his wages though?

Not sure how I would take that, even I was was playing for Leeds

Ell, his salary was agreed in 2013 just after he had swept the Leeds awards across the board, since then his form has dipped, I think anyone would expect a pay cut under those circumstances.

Cellino is obviously preparing the ground to sell Byrom. I believe that Pearson leaving is tied up to this. We will never have settled staff, players or management while Cellino is at the Club.

Good Morning WCD, great to see you posting pal <ok>

So maybe Cellino saying that he is buying back Elland Rd is just a sweetener, so it doesn't sound so bad when Cellino sells Byram?

Good morning all from a lovely autumn day in Suffolk

I was reading last nights rather disheartening developments and got thinking, El, you have posted nearly 26k times in four and a half years, nearly 100 per week or 15 a day, that is a huge amount of effort to give us something that I for one really enjoy and is probably quite an important part of my day. On the basis that things could be a bit quiet for a few days while people cool down, I thought about a topic that is about memories rather than opinions so should be non-controversial. Hopefully, some of the lazier posters like me will have some input and keep things alive until some of the better posters return!! Why Leeds, what are your memories and what does it mean to you. If I may, here I go.

I was born in York in 1967 to parents from Huddersfield and Pennistone both from families with long and proud cricketing traditions. For some reason, this little one just loved football from the moment he could walk (not my parents proudest moments). It was their decision that I became a Leeds fan on the basis that a Yorkshire kid of that era couldn't possibly choose to support anyone else!!

Due to my dads work, we moved around a lot until we settled near Bishop's Stortford when I was 6. Early school memories are of other kids teasing me and my brother relentlessly because of our accents and, particularly, pronunciation of words like one and butter. Ironically, now when I return to Yorkshire relatives tease me about my "suvvern" pronunciation of the same words! When I was 5, my parents bought me a ball and a Chelsea kit and I cried. I kept the ball and loved it but NEVER wore that kit. When I was eight my parents split and dad moved back to Yorkshire. I soon realised this had a massive benefit, every Christmas and birthday meant one parent bought home or away kit or tracksuit and visa versa. I actually went to a cousins wedding in the white top, blue trousers Admiral Tracksuit on the basis that was the only way mum could get me there. For many a year I was prepared to sweat my bits off all day at school because I wore the full kit under my school uniform so I could chuck off my clothes and play the minute school finished.

Around this time I was also fanatical about the Panini stickers and loved the fact that I always had the full Leeds team before anyone else completed theirs because I was the only Leeds fan and anyone would swap with me for their Spurs, Arsenal, Man U or Chelsea ones (being all the southern teams):emoticon-0100-smile

Soon after mum and dad split, mum and her dad took me for my first visits to Elland Road for games against Bristol City and Arsenal. I remember the cold Yorkshire air, blue painted concrete corridors and the smell of beer and urine and a sense of menace and yet thinking as a little boy there is no place better.

When West Brom relegated us I was new to secondary school and was teased again leading to tears and a fight that caused my only school suspension. Those doldrum years were painful but I have a great memory of going to Grimsby away after we had a flying start to the season (under Bremner?) with a really promising young team, having to stand in the Grimsby end and seeing how much they detested us playing them off the park. Alas, despite the typical Leeds teasing with that Play Off defeat to Charlton and FA Cup Semi against Coventry it was many years before the Wilko revolution!! So many weird looks from people the week after we won promotion at Bournemouth because I was constantly driving around punching the air. Then, of course, we did it, Leeds were back as Champions. I think I was pi$$ed for a week and had a brilliantly understanding boss who actually enjoyed my passion and even brought Customers into my office to show them the state of me and the massive Leeds flag on the wall behind me. The years under O'Leary were fun and I somehow just took it for granted that we would be there or thereabouts forever - how very Leeds that it wasn't to be.

Funnily enough, the subsequent relegations didn't hurt as much. Maybe I have just grown up, maybe eventually being Leeds just brings a sense of acceptance or maybe I genuinely don't like the Premier League that much? Ironically, Alan Lee that scored the Ipswich goal to send us down to League One drinks in my local, great guy and we share some "banter" about it :emoticon-0100-smile

After returning home from the Bristol Rovers game I think I was drunk on emotion only for a few days and lost my voice. When I told my wife it was the best day of my life she pointed at her wedding ring and our two boys and told me I need a serious re-think :emoticon-0108-speec

I have maybe said too much but Leeds United for me has been a love affair and we have had our Ups and Downs - MOT

Would love to hear your stories, especially you guys overseas and Rev, Glory, Hermase, Forza & Este - it would not be backing down, just may give you something to write about to fill a bit of your spare time!!

I started my Leeds affair in 1969. Probably as an eight year old cos I liked the all white kit. My fondest memory is of my dear mum RIP making me socks, same as Peter Lorimer wore. They had black tags hanging from them with number 7 stitched on. No replica kits available back then. The old boys here will know exactly what Im on about. Listening to live commentaries on BBC raio 5 I think. Barely audible most of the time, and sounded like birds whistling in background. Great, great times to be a Leeds fan, we really were the best in the world back then

You sure did. One of the very few benefits of growing old <ok> Mind you, we had a lot of heartbreaking moments though but that usually related to losing finals. Im sure wed all settle for getting to any sort of final now

I think I have told it before but we have some new posters... I too was born in 67 and I had two elder cousins who I looked up to. One was a Man U supporter the other a Leeds United one. It was around 72/73 that they asked me who I supported, I said nobody.

One cousin came out with a Leeds bobble hat, he said support Leeds and you can have this, the other ramaged through his drawers and came out with an assortment of Manchester merchandise which looked tempting as a 5/6 year old. Not to be outdone my Leeds United supporting cousin offered me a small array of gear that included a triangle pennant that did it for me.

I went through school saying I supported Leeds but it wasn't until I was around 13 I could name every player, Cherry, Graham, Gray and Jordan being amongst my favourites at the time. First game was away at Ipswich on the season we got relegated, I must have been around 15 at the time then when I left school and found employment and things settled down and I learned to drive I was a regular travelling from Northampton to home games at least 10 times a season.

Then you get married, get a mortgage and a weekend game with travel seems very expensive at nearly £100 a time so you rely on Media, Forums and trying to grab tickets for away games that are more local <ok>

Oh and the moral of me supporting Leeds is I can be brought ;)
