Nice to hear Robert Thornton has something lined up following the end of the jump jockey element of his career :D He seems to have had a never ending run of injuries in the last 4/5 years. I see Paul Carberry is sidelined for around 4 months following a fall at the weekend and Charlie Mann has a busted shoulder, 3 ribs and a fractured pelvis following a schooling accident. Ouch.

Sorry SBC but it is retiring from race riding. Look it up in the dictionary and it is correct usage: withdraw.
I thought he was a jolly good jockey and incredibly unlucky. He was particularly good at Cheltenham but has had a dreadful run of injuries. He certainly had more personality than most jockeys, even if it was of the dour Durham type.

Ballinrobe 3.05-Balofilo win. Won with abit in hand the other day at a Listowel and the hcapper has been rather kind here and she can go in again. 5/2 seems a decent price.

How did it get beat? It should have had pounds and class in hand. Mind you I thought the same about eagle top on Saturday and that folded tamely.

OK. I guess I should have realised it's the end of the betting season.

Absolute shocker today by Creepy went from the front and looked laboured from a way out! If u were connections you would be hopeful he would come on for the run but having shown his best when fresh you be bit worried

Had I read the trainer's comments prior to race which stated he had a back op in the summer, I wouldn't have backed him today. Doesn't look good for the future if all his wins have come after a break.

    Good shout Bluesky.

City cruising alright, pretty sure Sunderland will be happy to exit the cup as it detracts from their main focus now which has turned to premier league survival and already only In September!

5 goals in 9 minutes  just heard it's a Bundesliga record, not suprsingly, 5 goals is some haul in a game. That Munich aren't bad are they <laugh>
