I cannot see how Martinez could have done much worse than Rodgers. Martinez has got a system and plays to that system. He gets the players to fit in. Whereas Rodgers seems unsure how to play. He buys a player like Benteke at £32.5m but then gets confused about the way forward. Does he go for crosses and long balls behind the defence or does he change his striker's game to fit in? If he is confused no wonder the players are too. Rodgers is an average manager who is well suited to a mid table club.
