I thought finally playing a left footed player who stays wide in Moreno made a huge difference to how much space we created. Never mind his individual performance was great too. So we looked dangerous with Sturridge on the pitch which bodes well, but significantly worse when he was taken off which is a worry. Milner's performance was shocking. As the experienced player, the captain, at home, in his 'favourite' central role which he's been promised as a requisite to come here...he should expect to be shifted out wide if he continues like that. Awful. He should have been taken off, not Lucas. Rodgers reminds me of a football manager player. Need a goal? Take off a defensive player and lump a forward up top. He takes off Lucas and throws on Firmino. Result? We lose all midfield balance and Norwich find it much easier to trouble us. He's clueless. Oh, Mignolet is **** too.
It was an average first half mate, often against the "lesser" teams the games are won in the first half when you get at them from the start.
Lallana was half decent today. The problem we have is that we lose shape so easily. Up until the goal, we were disciplined and we had a shape. But then we lost it and becomes a mess.
Since we lost to United at home last season, our form has been relegation standard. Rodgers needs to go.
Rodgers is a dead man walking. 5 at the back is just rubbish against a side just promoted. I think he has one month and he will be fired. I can excuse the loss to united but failure to beat Norwich is a no no for me. The teams form from last season is just pathetic.
4 wins in last 15 league games. 5 goals in last 7 games. Form: DDLLD How this man can stay in charge ...
Norwich fan in peace I thought that WE played quite well and deserved our point and for the record I've been watching football since 1970 and I have to say that the current Liverpool side is the worst I have ever seen, Shankly and Paisley must be turning in their graves. I'm old enough to remember when the thought of your side playing at Anfield filled you with dread, now I'm afraid to say it's just another away day.
We had a fair few decent chances today, so tactics and selection were not the problem against Norwich, it was a hungry **** and players with golf club feet. We played like our forwards didn't know each other that's for sure.
If I see a guy being marked by 2 other of our defenders I aint markin him even if the manager said so in training. I don't buy it
Nah you were **** mate, but rode your luck and took your only chance which is why footy is so interesting
I see it like this: Positives can be taken from the game like the return of Sturridge, Ings' goal, Sakho...but the fact remains we were wasteful yet again and it keeps on happening. Coutinho wasn't on form. I can't see that ending anytime soon; in the matches were we have no chances, we do bugger all and we either lose or scrape a 0-0 draw if we're lucky. I'm sorry, but inasmuch as the players are partly to blame, Rodgers is more to blame, not because he chooses the team or anything like that - he almost got it right today - but it's like the players know the fans have had enough and I think he's lost the dressing room
Is that the best Liverpool got ? You cant tell from one game but you get a bloody good idea after 5 games and it's obvious Liverpool don't have much to offer under Brendan. Upgrade needed badly...
Very good goal by Ings. I agree he's a better fit and 20m less than our no.1 target man. Another classic example of the manager not knowing what players fit his own system....!
