Well it's his squad so he's the only real person to blame for that. Don't trust them? Don't play them. First XI, spot on. Then he throws in 3 at the back. Just uninspiring stuff and a jittery performance as a consequence.
Well the ones he does "trust" don't seem up to it. None of them do. And they are individually good players with a **** coach.
3 at back works if you play it with 4 midfield players. He has it to be compact with a sweeper which at home is a joke. Teams wishing to defend play it that way.
Are we actually capable of scoring more than 1 goal a game. The defensive ****e wouldn't be so bad if we could get more than the 1 pathetic goal.
To be fair, defensively it was a decent performance, just undone from a set piece and a good finish. Just didn't fall for us today unfortunately.
Slight improvement in our performance. The attack was much better when Ings played instead of Benteke. Far more options and movement. Midfield is still incredibly weak. Milner is not a CM - fact, and arguably the worst player on the pitch. Can doesn't look sharp.
Something inherently wrong with the goal we conceded. 3 players marking no one. That's down to coaching in my book.
Terrible result, punished for only scoring one given how many chances we created But the performance was massively improved and Sturridge's sharpness will come
Same **** different match. Actually, to be fair, Sturridge was a welcome return but the chances weren't taken; Milner was ****e; Mignolet should be flayed; and we can't blame Lovren for their goal Sakho was brilliant. It doesn't seem to be getting any better from where I'm sitting. The missed chances aren't good enough.
Yeah mate. 3 seasons, millions pounds spent on defenders, 4 assistant coaches, same old ****. It's fair to say it's the coaching rather than the players Moreno was boss today by the way, gave our attack a whole different dimension.
There are a few positives though: - Sakho and Moreno made a big difference. Both were excellent (bar Sakho's poor error which could have cost us). - As a 3rd choice striker, Ings is very handy. It's worrying when he is a better fit for our team than our marquee signing - Firmino played centrally and looked a lot better. His movement is excellent and linked well with Coutinho - should have had 2 assists to his name this season - More dropped points means Rodgers is very close to the sack. Hopefully this was the last straw
Just think of all that money spent on attacking players during Rodgers time, including the ones that failed and have been moved on, and we can only manage 1 goal at home against Norwich. Suarez could do that on his own in 5minutes.
We made the chances, Rodgers can't be blamed for Coutinho hitting the ball straight at the keeper when 2 on 1 etc. 4-0 would not have flattered us today, which is why the result is so bad
