Apart from last season's Triumph Hurdle horses it is difficult to see Seven Barrows having a lot to shout about this winter. Is MTOY due back this season? Bobs Worth is a spent force, also (I fear) Sprinter Sacre. I doubt we'll see Simonsig again, and even if we do he won't be the same horse. Hopefully some nice novices coming through but it seems anything half decent is snapped up by Mr Ricci these days ................
Hendos owners day in RP tomorrow for those interested. Amazed he's keeping his Triumph 1,2 ,3 all hurdling. How many horses does he want to get beaten by Faugheen in saying that I'd expect Top Notch to go over 3m. There's room in that division for an up and comer. Think Beat That goes nov chasing. He's some tasty form, IF, he can come back. Yet another who was on the Seven Barrows injury list. If only he could keep them sound! Its mad Ricci gets the talent, you'd think he's the only one spends big on recruits! Spend smart, not big is the mantra!
Probably the best series ever made- enjoy season 5 and just don't go online for any spoilers. Season 3 was nuts!
No idea who Needles Henderson is but personally, old boy, I wouldn’t want to write off any of the other 3 quite yet. Reports of there demise are greatly exaggerated, methinks.
