Evening all. Showing my age posting and drinking at home on a Friday, but I digress. Happen to agree with WJ. The defence doesn't seem to be the biggest problem. We lost 1-0 to Ipswich and it's not like we're conceding loads of goals and a few of them seem to be goalkeeper howlers. We have championship defenders, they will make mistakes. Main issue seems to be scoring goals. If we fall behind, how many of us think we'll score 2/3 to come back and win. We've seen both Ant & Wood score some cracking goals but where are the 'tap ins' because we've unlocked a defence??
What do you base this belief on? I've never seen enough of him play to register only 'hope' he comes good.
On watching him play for Motherwell against Rangers in the two games he was easily the best player by far .When I sawCharlie Taylor play for Leeds with WJ I said he would be soon a fixture I thought he was that composed against Dundee United
Morning troops. On way to MK. Should be a good game, & having seen the video, I really hope Botaka either starts or at least gets an hour+ to show what he can do
If he was to come on after 30 minutes or less that would indicate we would be three down or Dallas is injured. If he don't start I hope he gets ten minutes at the end....
He has to come on for at least 30 mins in the 2nd half. If you haven't seen it, find the video of his performance in a recent game for someone or other. Scary level of skills
I wouldn't drop Bamba, I'd rest him. He's our best player, but has also not been as sharp in the last few games. I don't think we have too many problems in defence. It's going forward where we're struggling. We've conceded more than one goal one this season, and that was the freak 2-2 at Bristol City
Morning WJ, I would be resting Bamba, not dropping him. I understand what you're saying about Antenucci but I believe that was more Redders inability to manage. Turnbull is an experienced keeper. I just feel it would keep the goalkeeping situation competitive.
That's not much to judge a player on and no disrespect to our Scottish friends but the standard of their football is very poor. As I said I'm hoping he proves to be a good player rather than convinced he will be.
#lufc team vs @MKDonsFC: Silvestri, Wootton, Cooper, Bamba, Taylor, Murphy, Cook, Mowatt, Byram, Dallas, Wood.
Not sure Berardi should be benched, Adeyemi should be given a chance to up himself a gear, and Antenucci to start as Wood is easily marked out the game.
