Tony Pennock is keen to see some of his Under-21 players go out on loan in order to gain vital first-team experience. The Tigers’ Development Squad have been in fine form at the start of the U21 Professional Development League 2 campaign with five wins and a draw in their opening six games, form which sees them top the league table. While admitting he has fielded no firm enquiries for any of his players since the loan window re-opened, Pennock was quick to stress his desire to see certain members of his squad experience life in a first-team environment in order to aid their development. “I believe some of our lads could go out and do a job in League One or League Two and, as a Club, that’s what we want the boys to do,” he said. “As much as we speak to people, nobody has made any sort of firm offer for any of our players at the moment. “The lads can’t do an awful lot more themselves. They just have to keep doing what they’re doing on the pitch. “There were a few clubs and scouts that came to watch our game against Brentford on Monday night but whether or not that comes to anything is unfortuantely out of our hands. “We do talk to people and they ask our opinion about who’s ready for senior football and we always give an honest opinion - some are ready and some aren’t and that’s based on age and experience. “We’re just waiting and hoping the lads that we do believe are ready do get an opportunity somewhere because it’s vital for them to experience first team football. “There are still a few of the lads training with the first team and involved in the first team squad which is great for them because that’s as good an experience as they can get at this moment of time.”
Apparently Wolves Manager been told that United have changed their mind about Wilson and are not prepared to let him go to a Championship club yet. I don't mind us not getting him as long as he doesn't go to a rival
Correct. He has had 2 serious knee injuries since we had him. Palace are letting him go for a reason and not just to save £35k or so a week. FC has passed his sell by date. Fraizer Campbell OUT OUT OUT.
Doubtful, Man U just told Wolves that he isnt available for loan and that he will be staying with Man U for the season.
West Brom and Hull City send delegation to Manchester United West Bromwich Albion and Hull City last night sent representatives to the game between Manchester United U21s and Everton U21s. The two teams met in the U21 Premier League, and Manchester United fielded some of their young first team squad players. Scouts Attending have revealed that both WBA and Hull City sent officials to the game at Leigh Sports Village last night, and they were also joined by Wigan Athletic manager Gary Caldwell. There are no reports who the three clubs were watching last night but Manchester United selected a strong squad which included some of their young first team squad players. Sam Johnstone, James Wilson and Jesse Lingard all started the game for Manchester United in their 3-1 victory over Everton’s youngsters. Highly rated Brazilian forward Andreas Pereira was an unused substitute after being selected for Manchester United’s Champions league trip to play PSV, although the youngster didn’t make the bench for the game in Holland. The young player who has been grabbing the headlines in recent seasons is Wilson, and the forward scored the second goal for his side. Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal would like the 19 year old to go out on loan this season to get first experience, which is likely to alert other clubs. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...ull-city-send-delegation-to-manchester-united
Or maybe we're watching someone else... Rob Notman @Robnotman @origlambman We also watched Everton U21's the previous week. May be somebody there.
Could be Tyias Browning or Ryan Ledson, they're the two highest rated youth players not out on loan according to their fans.
Fraizer Campbell was great in his first stint with us, he's been average/below average ever since and he's always been a total **** with his celebrations whenever scoring against us. He can **** the **** off for me, especially at £35k a week. *written whilst sunning myself on the balcony of my hotel in the beautiful town of Protarus in Cyprus*
Why wouldn't he be? Does that matter? If we're paying his wages then he's not going to mock us is he? Let sleeping dogs lie, if he comes here and bangs in a few goals or gets some assists, great.
I'm not sure why Campbell is still being discussed, Bruce said the story was bollocks, Pardew said the story was bollocks, so I think it's safe to assume that the story was bollocks.
What happened to the substance and claims in the comments that are still there? If it was supposedly close, has anything changed? Any more news? Or is this post too confusing as well
