Superficially looks attractive but itbdoesn't take too long to work out some pitfalls. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/sep/18/fifpro-transfer-fees-could-go-fifa-brussels
If that had come in a while ago think of the money saved on Hernandez. Yes it sounds a very double-edged thing.
Erm Those are the clubs, that their clients are happy to take stupidly high wages from. I agree the system is a load of bollocks but this just smells of self interest rather than the good of the game to me.
Loads of holes in the plan. However, any system that forbids agents fees is worth looking into in my eyes. ****ing parasites
The idea of trying to get rid of agents or at least limit the money they get & drop ridiculous money on fees is a start for an idea & is probably the 2 main areas that people are pissed off with more than anything. The thing they haven't done is come up with a viable alternative! The loan system is good from some angles & to get rid of it might limit players coming through, I think this has been brought up due to teams like Chelski & Juve loaning 30 & 40 odd players out, stockpiling players! Unless they're planning on changing a match day squad to 50/60 players & have special teams coming on for set pieces!
That article suggests to me that lawyers are behind the whole thing. Nothing like creating your own market is there? The law of contract has always interested me. I'm no expert, but aren't there age-old principles in contract law? Isn't everyone free to negotiate their own agreement provided it is lawful? What about the differences in contract law from country to country? The debate can go on for years ... which is probably what the lawyers are encouraging. EDIT ... But I do applaud the 1949 Adoption of Children Act, which pretty much forbade the payment of inducements in connexion with adoptions. This sensible and caring decision was intended to put all unwanted children - from rich and poor backgrounds - on an equal footing so that the rich would not be adopted first. But of course, the rich just ignored Adoption Orders and bought private foster care instead. So what will football clubs do if these new proposals become regulation? There is always a way around ...
Yes to suggest it'll be done & dusted in 12 months & be in place within 2 years does seem to be a bit silly! From what I remember the Bosman thing took years, but in that case it was just 1 man, this is a company!
However what? Are you against agents in general or some specific? They are parasites the lot of them. http://www.petersfraserdunlop.com/about-us/contact/ http://www.bctq.com/ http://www.monacoyachting.com/Monaco_Yachting_Technologies/Welcome.html http://www.alstom.com/ http://www.monsanto.com/pages/default.aspx http://www.caterpillar.com/ http://allam.com/ Need we go on? These people do not get rich by being nice. The ordinary people of Hull are where they are because they are nicer than any of the above. And that's not saying much.
Agent fees should be capped/scrapped I agree. As for allowing players to keep moving freely, rich clubs will still be in control as they'll just offer higher wages.
I think he's saying getting rid of agents is good, however....what's the alternative to the current transfer system?
