We should be in for this guy, he is quality! Apparently Bolton have had a £5 million bid accepted for him. He is just 23 years old and can play both up front and on the wing. For me he'd have been a perfect squad player and we have missed out on a major coup here!

What do you all think of him for £5 million?

I agree, I remeber watching Barca in pre season the season the Pedro emerged. Thought Jeffren was 100x better than Pedro!!

Sometimes I feel like more focus and attention should be paid to the castoffs like him from clubs like Barca who have talented youth to spare

Would he accept being cover for Ben Arfa though? Unless Barton went and we had Jeffren on the right wing where would he fit in?

Ben Arfa will be playing CAM Jeffren plays on the wing and I would sign him for £5m great player only 23 years old with great potential needs to start playing regularly and has been coached at one of the best youth academies La Masia yes we should sign him.

Not on the needed list. given we have budget for one player, it needs to be a striker. If Jose goes a left back is next priority. After that it's probably a right back. I think wingers will be well down the needed list now.

The problem is Mike Ashley should be sanctioning these kinds of purchases when the opportunity comes along. It is quite obvious that there is a good chance his value would rocket in the next few years. Also if we are signing Sturridge on loan then we have space for a player like Jeffren who is versatile.

I'm sure Liverpool were linked not so long ago, and at £5m he would be their best signing taking in to account value for money.

    Exactly.

Ah well, you wouldn't make a thread on it if it wasn't on Sky Sports so it must be there. If we get him, it would be class :D.

It was one of the journalists on twitter saying it. He is reliable and If you google news 'Bolton Jeffren' there are a few articles saying it has been accepted.

Considering we got both Cabaye and HBA for his price, no. A £5 million gamble that probably wouldn't pay off (Tottenham regularly take Barca's cast-offs but count how many emerge as talents in the EPL)

Yes, take him. Definitely. Made a article on him not long ago showing his attributes. RM/LM/AM/ST. Perfect versatile attacking player who would fit in with our ''3 amigos'' and he's Venezuelan! MUST BUY AT THAT PRICE! <ok>

I won't argue with but shoulda woulda coulda! If reports are to be believed we have budget for a striker. We then have to sell. So while I think Jeffren is canny, too risky for a club who need a guaranteed goal getter.
