After the start we've had and Man U coming up next, this is a biggie for me. Win and we could get our season up and running (5 points from 6 games, 7 if you assume a loss to Man U).

Lose and we're in the mire with confidence very low (we have to be honest about this) - a potential 2 from 7. A draw would keep us winless and also dent the confidence (potentially 3 from 7).

We've got a very rough December coming up and we need to make some hay over the next 9 games. I'm sorry, but the wins need to start coming and soon.

The good news is that I can see 12-13 points in this mix (I see 6-7 definitely 'winnable' games, depending on how you view Soton at home - who we beat last season!). Smilies are next to the winnables (yes, I'm aware we beat Everton away last season - I've offset this by being generous with Palace away, who we'd do very well do beat):

    Bournemouth (A) :emoticon-0100-smile
    Man U (A)
    West Ham (H) :emoticon-0100-smile
    West Brom (A) :emoticon-0100-smile
    Newcastle (H) :emoticon-0165-muscl (x6)
    Everton (A)
    Southampton (H) :emoticon-0100-smile
    Palace (A) :emoticon-0100-smile
    Stoke (H) :emoticon-0100-smile

I also see the same as you - but I also saw us on around 9 or 10 points right now!! SO I'll stay out of it as I'm a jinx

We need a win that's for sure, without one it gets tougher, win one and we could take off, Leicester have shown it is not impossible.

It's a game we could win but there are no easy games, think we'd learn that by now. The lack of fitness is a problem and will be leaving us vulnerable for many of the upcoming games. If we don't pick many points up in the next three or four games you won't see me panicking. Dick has reiterated give us time. For once it would be nice for everyone to trust him and get behind the lads instead of panicking and making it worse, again.

You would think people would learn not to panic after the last few seasons and the transfer window just gone, people panicked way to early. Surely people can see this is the best team we have had for a few years and there's loads of promising signs?

I must admit during the week at work these days I'm quietly optimistic instead of a nervous wreck! SAFC An attacking threat? Jesus Christ lol Happy Days!

I told the lads on the Chelsea forum that we don't usually start panicking until February :emoticon-0136-giggl

We must get 3 points here for all the reasons stated in the other posts. Difficult to fathom Bournemouth, they were good at Anfield but have had some poor results as well. A win puts us in a much better place, just get the 3 pouts lads, we could do with a bit of luck after the Spuds

3 points would make our day no mistake, but I would settle for a good performance and a draw, I think this game has come just a bit too soon to be confident of all three, but hey, it looks a lot better than a couple of weeks ago, and we do look useful on the counter so who knows. Ha-way the Lads.

Couple of key injuries for Bournemouth, who have been poorer at home and good away.

A really good opportunity for a win. Id play Seb in place of Gomez and Yed in for Jones. Front 3 can rotate during the game
