Not bad for midweek racing tomorrow! ELM PARK on his reappearance since being well beaten in the Derby, a couple good chase handicaps at Kelso and the Kerry National over in Listowel

So come on Beefy who's going to win it!! RULE THE WORLD for me who surely would have given Shanahans Turn a race in the Galway plate had he not come down and his place in the Irish Grand National looks good!

That looks a very tricky race Woolley.

Just deciding which of Morris's 5 will be best is hard enough! I love Ruler of the World, but won't be risking anything today. Good luck if you play

The going at Listowel on the Irish racing app is Heavy (partly waterlogged), it goes without saying the races will take a huge amount of getting. Rule The World shouldn't be inconvenienced by the heavy ground there giving he has some useful form on it over hurdles but he has yet to win a chase, although he will eventually. If I had to chose one I would plump for Lots Of Memories in it but with plenty of caution in toe. He won't mind the ground and has had nice spins on the level and over hurdles In his two previous runs.

Urano @ 20s ew for me in the Kerry National. Some decent novice form, acts on heavy and nice racing weight.

Okay, do not shoot the messenger here as it looks like I have got this one a little bit late...

    Beverley 4:50 Flash City

I say that I am late with this because I have only just read my email and it was apparently 8/1 early doors but looking on Oddschecker it is now 9/2, although there are five non-runners in the race. It was well beaten behind Apricot Sky last time when favourite at Haydock and it would be a career-best winning today off a 77 rating.

I'm capable of stopping the war with anything I touch atm mate, so have no strong opinion especially in a lottery like that! Hope yours wins, it was unlucky the last day and should relish the test. Very tight handicap, I'd even give the 33/1 outsider BRIDGETS PET a squeak.

One I think will win is Michael Winters in the bumper CHURCHTOWN CHAMP, it's a pity I missed the 9/4 up last night as its 13/8 now <doh>

Not a surprise that they've abandoned at Yarmouth, we've had some nasty downpours here in Newmarket this afternoon and it looks like they've had the same.

I was surprised when they announced the track was to reopen to be honest, so I am told they didn't sow the grass seed until March this year and it is supposed to take 6 months to a year for a decent root structure to develop and bind the topsoil together. Racing on such a fragile surface was always going to be risky, but racing in this kind of weather is a big risk to the structure of the track.

Unfortunately Lot's Of Memories didn't survive his fall at Listowel :(

Donagh Meyler's condition is unknown but he wasn't up from his fall aboard Horrendous Hullabaloo a while after the fall!

Nice to see David Casey bow out with a winner, nice of connections (and Ruby) to let him ride the 1/6 shot today.

Tom Marquand has a 5-1 and 14-1 winner today. Does he win 1 out of every 14 runs? Nope. Jockey to blind follow without a doubt :)

I think the abandonment at Yarmouth was the result of an incident after the winning line of the 3:30. The rain was falling during the race (could see it on the camera lens) and after crossing the line, fourth horse Passover slipped and brought down third Critical Risk. It was rather obvious that the rain on the firm ground had made it too dangerous to race. They have already abandoned Thursday’s card.

Unlucky on Urano boys just watched the replay there, that last 50 yards beat him and my bumper horse too <doh>

Sad to hear Lots of Memories and Owega Star both fatally injured today :(

Owega Star went too, knew he came down didn't realise it was fatal. Two decent animals lost in the heat of battle, cruel sport at times.
