So according to this Mayor we take Cesc from his childhood home where he wasnt wanted (sniff) Complete his professional training as a footballer and then employ him for the next 8 years, with an ever increasing wages(of frankly silly money) and make him our captain.................... of kidnappers evidently. Just another example of Barca's compete lack of respect fro Arsenal FC. Would the club, there players and the MAYOR?? be acting this way if they were after a Man Utd player or a player from one of the Milan clubs? Some how I don't think so!

My comment wasn't having a go at United and if you had even half a brain cell you would realise that!
My point is that Barca have behaved in a way that is disrespectful to Arsenal FC and would they do this to team like United or the Milan clubs? Clubs that maybe Barca feel are on the same level as them? I don't know but its worth a thought?
Also if Barca were to conduct themselves this way with any other transfer with any other club regardless if it was united or Barnet it would still be as disrepectful.

And my point was that Spanish clubs, particularly Real and Barca, are well known for behaving in a way that is disrespectful towards all other clubs. Arsenal are hardly the only club to have this happen to them, and I have no doubt that if Pique was still playing for Utd and Barca wanted him then they'd be trying the same ****.
As far as I can see, it's a fairly clear case of trade libel, and Arsenal should take action against the Mayor as soon as possible. Sue him until his arse is out of his trousers, there are holes in his shoes and he's had to sell all his children for medical experiments.
