Mate is a Cobblers fan and watched Darnell play on Saturday Said he was the best player on the pitch by a mile, nice to hear even if it is in the 2nd division, thought he would have gone to a league one club personally.

Good news, but with Perch playing so poorly we could do with him back.

Not a bad shout; in fact both FB's look to be struggling at the moment - they don't look fit and they are making everything they do look really difficult.

I thought Konchesky did well against Forest on Saturday. Out of position for the goal though. I can't understand why Furlong is out on loan. Can he be brought back like Hill was when he went to Forest and was recalled for that famous game on the 23rd of October v Chelsea? Do we have any cover at right back should Perch get injured.

Konchesky's been reasonably good so far,on the other hand Perch has looked diabolical.Every time the balls near him i expect an error,he just looks clueless at everything. We have to get a decent right back in on loan rapidly, otherwise i can see him costing us a lot of games!

There in lies the problem. He is the decent right back we have bought in. Worryingly :emoticon-0107-sweat

Surely he will get better once he's gelled <doh>

It'll be alright on the night though. It's not as if he's a double dip relegator like Leroy Fer or Steven Caulker ... huh?

I agree that Perch looks something of a liability and I'd prefer Furlong there in this league.
However, I like Konchesky and I think he's looked good.

Onuoha, Hall and Angella at CB. I suppose. Shame none of our 6 left backs can play right back.

But wait! Jamie Mackie is prepared to give it a go!

After being thrown in at the deep end by Ramsey in the PL, I believe he's a better option than Perch, especially at this level.

Darnell, son of former R's legend Paul, has agreed a one month deal with the League Two side, which runs until October 10th.
