As long as we don't play 4-2-3-1 AGAIN I'll be happy. It's a dead formation unless you have the exact, specific right players to play it. Look at Leicester, 0-2 vs Villa playing 4-2-3-1, changed to 4-4-2 and won it 3-2. Palace are doing well with 4-4-2, Chelsea are almost in the relegation zone playing 4-2-3-1. Just an opinion, but we should have moved back to 4-3-3 about 8 months ago. For us especially, playing a tactic that has to see Colback and Anita in the starting XI is plain unacceptable. McLaren needs to grow some balls, go to 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 and use the best players instead of lining up every week with the aim of not getting beat, as opposed to trying to win the game.
