Other teams made signings over the summer... why should we expect ours to take more time to get used to one another?

It's not a case of forwards mistiming runs for through balls etc because they haven't had enough time with the players in midfield. Our poor play can't come from anything else other than dour negative tactics and players not knowing what they're supposed to be doing.

There's no adventure or threat (consistently) and there hasn't been for months and months. When was the last time we really took a game to someone and put them on the back foot for the majority of a game?

The best form of defence is attack. I'm not suggesting we go all out from the off, but even our good defensive players will make mistakes if they're under consistent pressure for the larger part of 90 minutes.

What the **** is Bruce afraid of?

Spot on...all those spouting "Get a grip" (what a stupid phrase) at anyone who has the TEMERITY to criticize Bruce, whose abysmal won/lost record in the Prem and mediocre team performances in a very weak Championship would have got him fired long ago if we had owners who knew anything about football, need to get their heads sorted out. We have one of the best group of players in the Championship but appear incapable of playing attractive, attacking, football. The current mediocrity on the field has gone on far too long. Time for a change...now...before we sink to the relegation zone as we did last year.

We've been **** since midway through the season before last. He was given until last Christmas, then he was given until the end of the season, then he was given another window and now we're into another season with no improvement.

There's nothing fickle about being pissed off with eighteen months of **** football.

This is a forum, if you don't like people discussing how poor we've been, then it's probably best you don't come on, it's only going to get worse.

He's had eighteen months to sort it out, yet hasn't done, he makes exactly the same mistakes every week, how long do you think he should get?

Time for him to go. For someone who "doesn't want to make excuses". He manages to squeeze them in at every opportunity!

Look at the teams that got promoted last season (Bournemouth,Watford, Norwich) & look how many goals they scored (up into the 90s). They played fast attacking football something we can only ever dream of under Bruce. The players don't know how to attack, we are so slow to get the ball up to the strikers. We need a new manager + assistant (I have no faith in Phelan either) who adopts & totally different style of play. Someone who can instill confidence & an attack minded attitude into one of the, if not the, most talented squad of players in the Championship. To go to Brighton & not register a shot on goal until 70 mins is unforgivable. A team plays as they are told to, they are an extension of the manager's personality. Bruce was a defender & he approaches games from a defenders perspective. He has no idea how to attack. He sets out not to lose, which is totally different from setting out to win. The Allams have no clue about football & can't see the problem. Bruce is their friend & they won't sack him. We are expected to pay our money to travel round the country watching boring, unadventerous football.(I can nip over the park & watch my local pub team do that)

Have always supported SB, from day one, but as time move on I've gone from supporting him 100% to fence sitting, we seem to be a team that's lost it way and its mojo, agree with what's been said about the Allams will never sack SB, but we are a team with problems and if we the fans can see them, why the hell cant the management team see them.

    1) it appears SB cant decide on what formation/best to play.
    2) the tempo we play at reminds me of walking football.
    3) at home at times we look like the away team, pushed back and hanging on for dear life .
    4) players playing out of position
    5) Fitness we seam to be struggling in the second half of games( players visibly knackered)
    6) substitutions why does it take SB so long to make them at times when its clear a change/ fresh pair of legs are needed.
7)Problem areas of attack/midfield still persist yet SB and his team seem unable to come to grips with it and sort it.
    8) all the above are long team problems that haven't suddenly appeared yet still persist.

This isn't an attack on SB, its frustration because I love my team always have since I started watching them in 1959, and I for one don't want to watch city go in to decline again(seen it and got the video and t-shirt on that one) why is the team preforming so badly on the road and lets be fair. the results at the K.C have been good but the performances have been hit or miss ,when was the last time we destroyed a side there, plus we've not come up against any of the big boys yet at the K.C. Sorry this is in some ways a negative post, but on the playing side we look to have problems that are not being addressed by management, yes I know its early in the season, but its also possible that come Saturday tea time we could be losing touch with the top of the table and as most people are aware if you don't make back to the PL at the first attempt then it become ten times harder.

I'd love to see Brucie get us playing well again. I know he's capable, I've always liked him. It's just been such a long time now.

I think the signs are there that a rot has set in. I'm happy for him to have time, but noticing the problems isn't bad support, it's genuine concern.

Ultimately, it's **** all to do with us anyway, the Allams will decide, but as fans it will of course be a talking point.

Some fans noticed the stealth rebranding attempts early on too, and they turned out to be right. If you're intuitive and care, I think it's a fair assumption to make that you'll have noticed recently, that we haven't played very well.

Others block debate or bury their heads in the sand, must be easier that way, but it's not always the right way.

Currently 42.2% against 57.8% - His stock has fallen massively since the end of last season.

I'm not expecting, nor can you ever supporting City, to see win after win week in, week out. But I would like to be a bit entertained once in a while. Apart from the fact Bruceys achievements over the last 18 months have been non existent on the pitch, I'm slowly getting to the point were watching the same film three times over one after the other at the local cinema would be better value than the c£30 I'm spending per game at the mo!! Over the last 3 years I can only recollect one game, Fulham at home were we have really set about the opposition and won by a decent margin. Brucey seems utterly focused on keeping the point we start with, rather than going for the other two!! With the players at his disposal, embarrassing!! He's done a lot of good for the club, and now is not the time to say goodbye, that will be in January unless he turn's things round!!!
