Not really sure where to put this, but I'll do it here. Paul Sturrock has got an autobiography out next week. It's 'warts and all' apparently. Playing days, managing days, his battle with Parkinson's disease. Luggy's a top bloke and I reckon he's got some pretty interesting tales! Mine's already on pre-order...
They'll be arresting Gomer Owen any day now then. He kissed Bessy Bighead for a dare when she wasn't looking and never kissed her again though she was looking all the time. (see Under milk Wood)
Oh no! I've turned up at my son's hockey practice this morning only to find Pompey track suits everywhere. His practice is next to cobblers academy pitches and they are playing a few in blue this morning! Even worse, I know one of their coaches . The other coach is Ox's Dad.
Nice way to go though. The champagne bit, not the double diamond, unless that's code for a young lady with really nice boobs.
Anyone watch 'An Inspector Calls'....top quality drama. Haven't enjoyed a play so much for a long time.
Was watching the first two episodes of Being Human, which I entirely missed the first time around. It's quite good. I'm saving An Inpector Calls for another evening. Bet it was good. I know the J B Priestley play well.
I've recorded it to watch later. I hope its as good, (and the previews look fantastic) as the 1954 Alastair Simm film!
It is because of socialist crap like that sort of programme that Cameron and his Australian buddy want to destroy the BBC. We mustn't let them. Imagine sacrificing the BBC to save the bloody Sun because that is what it is all about.
Well said Godders. However, have you seen what the BBC are deciding to do to take on the challenge..? It's almost worth the Govt trying to curb them. Look it up.
I really enjoyed it because I hadn't seen it before (amazingly). I gather the original production is all in one room, whereas there were extra scenes written in this production revealing the story. I can see that it might come over powerfully when acted solely in the dining room, but still came over very well.
