This, without doubt. Sturridge proved last season he can get the goals, whereas Vela is still unproven at this level.
Id hardly say Sturridge was proven... The end of last season is the only time it's came off for him. I think he's a fantastic prospect but he's done hardly anything at Chelsea or City in his little cameos to say he's more proven against Premiership opposition than Vela. Theyre completely different players though and i'd be happy with either of them.
As Nick mentioned; they are very different players. To compliment what we already have I'd take Sturridge though.
As good a player as Sturridge is, we apparently have £8m to spend on a striker and I would rather get someone in permanently. I don't know if that would be enough to sign Vela permanently?
Vela could turn good, but I haven't seen anything yet to suggest he will. Sturridge has shown a lot more promise, even if just limited appearances. I'd rather take a player who impressed in his half season chance, then the one who could hardly make it off the West Brom bench in that same period
But that's because Odemwingie was in form. If Elmander had carried on his early season form, Sturridge would have played a lot less.
Vela or Sturridge? Who would you prefer to see at the club this season? WELLITON (you spelt Vela wrong )
